It's Pioneer weekend here in Utah and a which is an official holiday celebrated on July 24. The holiday commemorates the arrival of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Parades, fireworks, rodeos, pioneer reenactments and other festivities help commemorate the event. Similar to Independence Day most governmental offices and many businesses are closed on Pioneer Day.

Main light above model camera left with a Balcar Diamond Box, lower camera right with an Elinchrome beauty dish, key lighting with a 20 degree grid behind and to the right. I would have liked to use a larger light source for the key lighting but I was a little too limited on space.

This vehicle is branded up for route 427 as part of the new Hayes route branding scheme, so shouldn't really be on this route.
I received a brand new set of Ottos today. Due to a billing error, I lost a couple carts, but today, WM dropped off four brand new Ottos as a replacement. Really nice carts, and I'm happy to actually have a uniformed set of carts after so many years. I will definitely miss the old Turn Key. RIP Turn Key 800300 - you have serviced Arcadia well for 30+ years - and Rehrig 000031.
As part of non-fare revenue scheme, Indian Railways has started branding locomotives and I spotted my first one with PORNA CHICKEN advertisement..It looked good for me
BNSF 3919 and 3917 are ET44C4 locomotives designed by General Electric to meet EPA Tier 4 emissions standards.

A lot of people show up at a branding, and everyone helps out somehow. The branding is usually completed in a minute or so and the calf will walk away as if nothing happened. This is at a ranch in Nounan, Idaho.
