A mix motion blur image to give you an odd highway high-speed feel. It is not too often the highways are barren of cars like this.
Happy Slider Sunday
Another blur effect but a tad different. Darn if I can remember exavtly how I did this.

I found out last minute yesterday that there was a charity car show being held in the plaza not too far from where I live. I get pretty excited about classic cars. :) I think the details on them are so amazing and beautiful! Just look at this cool tail light?! Hey, do you think this could also be called a brake light? The theme for Smile on Saturday tomorrow is “Begins With B.” Thank you for your help, and for everything! I hope you all have a wonderful and inspiring weekend. x
Update: B is for brake light !!
Looking along busy West Terrace on a busy Friday evening full of traffic going somewhere, as the light fades into dusk.
Another dawn shot from the pinnacles above Winnats Pass in the Peak District. I have posted a shot with car headlamps leaving light trails coming up the pass from Castleton. This one, however, has brake lights of cars going the other way!
Its an enchanting spot to witness the sun coming up over the Hope Valley. I had hoped for a little mist to add a bit of intrigue, but there was only a little around the lower valley in the distance.
I had alos hoped to be making a return next month to see the Chatsworth Flower Show and stay a few days in Castleton, but like many things all that has been cancelled by the Coronavirus epidemic.
In the foreground, water-filled traffic barriers creating a pedestrian path along East Terrace, making a safe walkway to Rymill Park where zombies had been partying since 3pm prior to the Zombie Walk at 7pm.
In the background:
As it was still early before the zombie walk, the northern half East Terrace was still open to traffic. However, the traffic was diverted away from the closed southern half of East Terrace.

Internal reflections within a Hilux brake light; changing the angle of observation appears to enhance the brightness of some segments while suppressing others.
Meopta Belar 75mm f4.5 enlarger lens (4 blade version), reversed and with 36-90mm helicoid.
It's interesting how much our behaviours are affected by those around us. When I go out shooting by myself, I don't notice that this lens can't focus to infinity. This time I was out with Theen, and she was running around with her very long pocket camera lens. Suddenly I was looking at subjects in the distance, and my lens was not up to the task – I had to make a special effort to do something that would normally be second nature; find close-up subjects.
Squeaky clean shiny cars parked at the Rundle Place carpark, seen against the yellow walls for the lift and stairs corner. These walls are colour-coded for each floor and I like the virbant colours they use.
Sitting in the passenger seat at the front, with my camera in hand, I saw these spotty dotty rear lights in the car in front of us. I haven't come across this pattern before and found it interesting.
I was shooting the Aurora at a mountain summit near Fairbanks but we had cars coming and going in this small parking area. In this case someone hit their brakes during my exposure for this image, giving the nearby branches this interesting red color. I thought this rather interesting and not what I would expect for an Aurora shot, but hey, something quite different ;)
Taken 7 March 2023 near Fairbanks, Alaska.
An illegally dumped armchair sitting on the footpath, beside the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Thebarton.
The armchair is covered with council tape and a large sticker informs passersby that the dumping is under investigation. The penalty is a $5K fine, which should deter anyone else from doing the same thing.
juxtaposition (jŭk″stə-pə-zĭsh′ən)
1.) The act of juxtaposing, or the state of being juxtaposed; the act of placing or the state of being placed in nearness or contiguity.
2.) The extra emphasis given to a comparison when the contrasted objects are close together.
Juxtaposition is often done in order to compare/contrast two elements, to show similarities or differences, etc. In this instance, the 'elements' are placed on top of each other...the out-of-focus lights of cars & traffic lights ahead and the focused raindrops on the window...a comparison of the differences between the two with a shallow depth of field.

9th June 2021 :
... Something you wouldn't normally take a photo of.
I have been know to take some odd things, but that's only when I was given a challenge to do so.
It all started here :
www.flickr.com/photos/44506883@N04/albums/72157649129677985
But since I stopped the challenge, I have gone back to my comfort zone for the main part, even though the odd thing pops up from time to time.
I didn't go out intending to find something that I wouldn't normally take, but when I saw this I thought why not!

When I got my film scans back from the lab, when I saw this one I was stoked how good it came out. I wasn't sure when I took this. But the color was popping. I really liked the abstract look of this photograph.
Taken in between swipes of the wipers. While this was taken during our little outing yesterday, today saw more of the same. I really don't mind the rain, but I don't like when it comes down so fast and furious that visibility is poor, roads get flooded, and idiots who don't slow down cause accidents.
OK, it's not really an Autobahn. Just the A12 in east London. But to me at least it seems to fit the mood of that Kraftwerk classic.
Standing in the background are the three tower blocks of the Locton Estate.
