A flowering, brain cactus Stenocactus multicostatus at the Tucson Botanical Gardens in Tucson, Arizona, Native to Mexico.
Looks like I found a 'brain' of somebody, so the owner can come forward ;-))
Very weird looking mushroom/fungus! It was about 10cm wide and 5cm tall.
Tried to find a name like 'brain fungus', but no results. So if you know, please let me know. Thanks !
RIP Sacha, tragically taken away from us today due to cancer aged 7
Sacha had been treated for bronchitis for 12 weeks at the Vets, but sadly
after a second opinion from another veterinary surgeon, was sent for an x-ray and found to have cancer of the lungs and brain.
Sacha was my daughters dog, we bought Sacha and Sheena together, to beautiful sisters, they have always had a strong bond from being puppies.

Every time I see a turkey's caruncles I am reminded of the cerebral cortex with its many folds and grooves. Think they look a bit like...a brain spill? ;-)

Common names for Tremella mesenterica include Yellow Brain Fungus, Golden Jelly Fungus, and Witches' Butter (although the last usually refers to the black fungus Exidia glandulosa).
T. mesenterica is a parasite. On the right side of the branch, the purplish fungus - Oak Crust (Peniophora quercina) - is its host.

Well, it seems I made it ... an image a day for 31 days in a row. Phew!
This little ceramic pendant was sent to me as a gift when I purchased a couple of others. At last, it's come into its own. The tangled ribbon is a bit of a metaphor for my brain at times this month. I had hoped the discipline of doing an image a day would help me to make quicker decisions - an encouragement to keep things simple - but sadly my natural personality fought back. Ho hum, back to the drawing board. :)

This was taken at the base of a waterfall and the textures on the ice looked like a brain to me. It’s incredible how nature sculpts these shapes in many ways to create such a porcelain structure. I like the hint of blue that we sometimes see in the ice. We had enough of a thaw to show tiny patches of grass on our lawn and our roof was clear. Today, we have snow squalls and freezing rain again. So I am making another hearty soup. Italian vegetable with left over ham I found in the freezer.
Because that's what it looks like to me.
