Carles Sabater: memòria d'una llum
El 33 recorda el músic en un documental dirigit per Pep Blay. Ara fa deu anys, el 13 de febrer de 1999, Carles Sabater va cantar per últim cop el seu "Boig per tu", l'himne més popular de Sau i de tota la història del rock català.
Va ser al Casal de Vilafranca, tot just acabat el primer concert de la gira "XII", on va morir víctima d'una aturada cardiorespiratòria. Tenia 36 anys, 12 discos a l'esquena i una brillant carrera d'actor de musicals per endavant, avalat per Josep Maria Flotats, Calixto Bieito i Dagoll Dagom.
"Sex symbol" del moment i primer gran fenomen de fans a Catalunya, la història de Carles Sabater és paral·lela a la del "boom" del rock català: el seu èxit va contribuir definitivament a portar-lo al cim, igual que la seva desaparició va comportar l'inici del final d'una generació.
Però el més fascinant va ser la seva personalitat, magnètica i seductora, que va marcar per sempre tothom que el va conèixer. Diuen que Carles Sabater irradiava una poderosa llum. Molta llum. Com era aquesta llum?
En el documental produït per TVC, "Carles Sabater. Memòria d'una llum", setze testimonis, amb noms com Pep Sala, Joan Ollé, Coco Comín, Àngels Gonyalons, Joan Lluís Bozzo, Gerard Quintana, els amics més íntims i la seva companya, Laura Jou, comenten la trajectòria d'un personatge que, tot i els deu anys d'absència, encara els té atrapats en la memòria.
"Carles Sabater: Memòria d'una llum" aporta alguns documents inèdits i una visió diferent d'aquest personatge tan atractiu, que faran d'aquest documental una eina imprescindible per reescriure el paper del popular cantant en la història de la música i dels musicals a Catalunya.
El documental "Carles Sabater. Memòria d'una llum" està dirigit per Pep Blay, guionista de TVC i periodista expert en el rock català, autor de les biografies de Sopa de Cabra i Els Pets. La realització és de Jordi Fàbregas.

Esta frase se origina en Roma en la Sátira X del poeta romano Juvenal (circa 100 A. D.).
Panem et circenses
(letteralmente «pane e [giochi] circensi»)
è una locuzione latina, usata nell'antica Roma per sintetizzare le aspirazioni della plebe, o, in epoca contemporanea, in riferimento a strategie politiche demagogiche.
L'espressione Panem et Circenses alludeva ad un meccanismo di potere influentissimo sul popolo romano, era la formula del benessere popolare e quindi politico;
un vero bozzo/strumento in mano al potere per far cessare i malumori delle masse, che con il tempo ebbero voce proprio nei luoghi dello spettacolo.
Questa locuzione ("Panem et Circenses") viene anche usata per indicare il modo di parlare nell'età romana.

In 1944 Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer
released the book Dialectic of Enlightenment (German: Dialektik der Aufklärung).
One chapter in this work, "The Culture Industry: Enlightenment as Mass Deception", would become hugely influential and a key element in the bibliography of what became known as the Frankfurt School of Critical Theory.
The book echoed the themes of Juvenal in the modern context of America's 1940s media landscape. Horkheimer and Adorno discussed the culture industry;[8] they argued that entertainment is business and that culture had become commodified. The media audience, which consists of the people, would get accustomed to a certain type of content and demand more of the same, influence over the consumers would thus be established by the entertainment industry. The effect of these cultural products being distributed would be a mass culture designed to preserve the status quo of society.
This paralleled Juvenal's thoughts on bread and circuses as an entertainment industry preserving the status quo of Roman society by distracting the common people.

These two images from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory show a large change in X-ray brightness of a rapidly rotating neutron star, or pulsar, between 2006 and 2013. The neutron star − the extremely dense remnant left behind by a supernova − is in a tight orbit around a low mass star. This binary star system, IGR J18245-2452 is a member of the globular cluster M28.
As described in a press release from the European Space Agency, IGR J18245-2452 provides important information about the evolution of pulsars in binary systems. Pulses of radio waves have been observed from the neutron star as it makes a complete rotation every 3.93 milliseconds (an astonishing rate of 254 times every second), identifying it as a "millisecond pulsar."
The widely accepted model for the evolution of these objects is that matter is pulled from the companion star onto the surface of the neutron star via a disk surrounding it. During this so-called accretion phase, the system is described as a low-mass X-ray binary because bright X-ray emission from the disk is observed. Spinning material in the disk falls onto the neutron star, increasing its rotation rate. The transfer of matter eventually slows down and the remaining material is swept away by the whirling magnetic field of the neutron star as a millisecond radio pulsar forms.
The complete evolution of a low-mass X-ray binary into a millisecond pulsar should happen over several billion years, but in the course of this evolution, the system might switch rapidly between these two states. The source IGR J18245-2452 provides the first direct evidence for such drastic changes in behavior. In observations from July 2002 to May 2013 there are periods when it acts like an X-ray binary and the radio pulses disappear, and there are times when it switches off as an X-ray binary and the radio pulses turn on.
The latest observations with both X-ray and radio telescopes show that the transitions between an X-ray binary and a radio pulsar can take place in both directions and on a time scale that is shorter than expected, maybe only a few days. They also provide powerful evidence for an evolutionary link between X-ray binaries and radio millisecond pulsars.
The X-ray observations contained data from Chandra, ESA's XMM-Newton, the International Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) and NASA's Swift/XRT and the radio observations used the Australia Telescope Compact Array, the Green Bank Telescope, Parkes radio telescope and the Westerbok Synthesis Radio Telescope.
The observations of IGR J18245-2452 and their implications are described in a paper published in the September 26th, 2013 issue of Nature. Como olvidarnos de este Argosy y su gemelo ! ambos eran de la empresa Tranex y al parecer los únicos de este modelo con este corte tan bonito, el cual también se hizo presente en al menos 2 M2 y me parece que algunos Columbia... todos mas o menos del mismo tiempo... esta extinta empresa tenía muchos camiones de color rojo y verde, por lo que estos dos maquinones salían bastante de lo común ! recuerdo haberlos visto muchas veces con cama baja...

No estará sola, sino que este tema lo cantará junto con su actual pareja, el también músico, Cristian Suárez, cabe destacar que ha sido él quien le compusiera el tema a la peruana.
La controvertida conductora peruana de talk show, Laura Bozzo, ahora incursionará en el mundo del canto, pues grabará un disco junto con su novio, Cristian Suárez, quien es el que produce la música de su actual programa.
Y es que el tema central de esta producción discográfica será "El Desgraciado", la cual está inspirada en la frase que la misma peruana ha hecho famosa en nuestro país, al igual que la de "señorita Laura", aunque de esa expresión no se conoce que haya planes de grabarla.
"A Cristian le está yendo súper en México, amamos la música y es bueno trabajar en lo que nos apasiona", dijo Bozzo durante una entrevista radiofónica, donde aseguró que el disco tendrá temas populares y que tendrá la colaboración de otros artista internacionales, de los cuales no se ha revelado, así como tampoco se ha puesto fecha a su CD para que salga a la venta.

Situado junto al Paseo de Gracia, cerca de La Pedrera. El tratamiento de sus espacios responde al criterio de alcanzar el máximo confort ambiental para el usuario, si bien se ha convertido en un templo sofisticado del lujo. Ha sido reconocido como el mejor Hotel del 2005 en los Premios de Diseño de la Revista Travel and Leisure de Nueva York. Distribuido en siete plantas además de otras cuatro bajo rasante. La planta baja acoge la recepción, el restaurante Moo y dos tiendas. Sus 59 habitaciones, todas cuadradas y sutilmente amuebladas con un diseño que pretende el máximo aprovechamiento de la luz natural, se distribuyen en el resto de las plantas. El ático dispone de una piscina sobre una terraza con vistas a la Casa Milá y a la Sagrada Familia. Cuenta además con SPA, piscina climatizada con vistas al jardín.
La fachada principal aparenta ser una lámina, a modo de epidermis superpuesta, en la que se han realizado diversos cortes, curvados hacia el exterior, como las páginas de un libro, como las aberturas de un calendario de Adviento. El sentido de esta abertura atiende tanto a las vistas hacia el paseo de Gracia como a la correcta orientación respecto al sol del mediodía. Además de guardar la intimidad desde el interior y servir de barrera acústica. Tras los cortes se asoman las ventanas de las habitaciones para ver sin ser visto. El orden de las aberturas, aparentemente aleatorio, responde tanto a la plástica exterior como a las necesidades interiores de distribución. Las habitaciones crecen a lo ancho, -evitando la tipología al uso, habitaciones largas y estrechas con baños junto al pasillo de entrada- e incorporan el baño, que llega hasta la fachada, dando lugar a estancias de formas cuadradas y luminosas.
La estructura de la fachada se compone de un esqueleto de módulos de acero inoxidable curvos, prefabricados, que proporcionan la base para las "orejas". Una subestructura, también de acero, da el soporte al revestimiento final, una piel de piedra caliza -mármol de Cabra- que adopta la curvatura de la base y aporta luminosidad al interior. La piel de la fachada se apoya visualmente en basamento negro interrumpido por las aberturas acristaladas de la planta baja, a través de de los que se puede ver el vestíbulo, el restaurante, y la vegetación en el patio de manzana interior. Una fachada que busca contribuir a la variedad arquitectónica del Eixample, respetando su configuración pero con plena conciencia de haber sido creada en el siglo XXI.
La fachada interior está condicionada por el irregular patio de manzana definido por el trazado de la Avenida Diagonal y por las descuidadas fachadas traseras de los edificios vecinos. Por ello se instala un filtro en forma de una cortina vegetal delante de los balcones, con el apoyo de una estructura de barras metálicas horizontales. Las plantas crecen en cajas colgadas de los bordes de los balcones. De esta manera el espacio se agrega al balcón y visualmente agranda la habitación, mientras el mundo exterior se filtra sin interferir con la entrada de la luz.
Una pérgola de barras metálicas, siguiendo el diseño de la fachada posterior, reúne y ordena los distintos volúmenes de escalera, ascensor e instalaciones, permitiendo la utilización de la azotea como mirador, donde todas las superficies del techo, el suelo y las paredes, se realizan en madera de ipé.
