AA Box, number 442 near Aysgarth in the Yorkshire Dales.

I wanted to take a photograph of a frightful wide-angle lens.

A box of a 4X5 film.

I made this box a Pinhole camera.

Distance from Pinhole to a film is a little less than 2cm.

Paper: 7.5 cm for the box, 7 cm for the wedges

Modules: 6

Model: Tomoko Fuse

Book: Toy box of wisdom p. 57-58 (box), p.66-67 (wedges)

Fits snuggly into the box. Used a bit of glue for the base of box, not necessary if the paper is thicker (it is standard kami).

This is the only damage that made it through both the outer and inner boxes. Nothing damaged inside though.

Ive seen so many Box Turtles this year. I found five on this outing after a summer rain.

One red gift box on a white background

The jewelry box includes a three sided insert. One side is smooth for displaying a pendant, another side has a pocket for elegantly presenting a ring, and the last side has two little eyelets to showcase a gorgeous pair of earrings. There is a little envelope to neatly secure the pendant chain, which fits perfectly into the pocket. The liner box has an inner chipboard structure for durability and strength

Today I will follow all the instructions and stick the little gizmo on my chest to monitor my sometimes irregular heart. It has to remain in place for 2 weeks, recording.

this phone box has been here over 50 years. i'm surprised that it still remains. there is no phone now. and no ziggy stardust.

This little jewelry box was turned as a valentines day gift. It is made from curly cherry for the body, teak for the threaded rim, english holly for the lid and an african ebony finial. The box is about 3 inches in diameter and 4 inches tall.

Signal box diagram and block shelf. Block instruments were (from left to right) Middleton Junction West (Up Slow Line), Middletom Junction West (Up Fast & Down Main Lines) and Thorpes Bridge Junction (Up & Down Main lines). Note the Thorpes Bridge block was an original Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway instrument. Also note the 4 banner type track circuit indicators on the block shelf.

Watch out for turtles! As temperatures warm up, our cold-blooded friends will be on the move as they search for food and mates. This adult male eastern box turtle (Terrapene carolina) was found crossing Upper Smith Gap Road. Thank you to all the drivers who stopped to allow it to cross the road safely onto refuge property.

The Box-tree Moth Cydalima perspectalis is a striking moth that was accidentally introduced to the UK in 2007 originating from south-east Asia. The larvae feed on various species of box Buxus spp. This is a melanic variation, the wings being purplish brown with a white spot near the centre of the forewing. The first report of this moth was from Kent in 2007 and by 2011 larvae had been found in private gardens. This species is now well established in the London area, where it is spreading and the population appears to be growing (and is occasionally found in numbers). In recent years it has gained a strong foothold in Essex, where this example was photographed on 27/10/21

Typical storage boxes contain your items, but the inside becomes cluttered – making it difficult to find what you need. Rubbermaid’s Bento collection is designed to organize items, rather than just store them. The Bento Boxes have internal flex dividers, which enable you to divide the space by creating unique sections when needed. Boxes can stack vertically, or fit inside each other. Bento Trays can act as trays or covers, providing an extra layer of organization for the Bento Boxes, or hiding what’s inside. The Bento Collection is made from sturdy materials, and the heavy-duty decorative fabric enables it to remain out in your social spaces while complementing your home’s décor.

From a book (Impressionist Garden Gift Boxes) of punch-out-easy-to-assemble small gift boxes. There were 18 and these are the last four. I have never seen a book of them since. The book was crazy expensive but I found it on a reduced-to-clear table at a bookstore. One of those good finds. The promo says - Perfect for candies, jewellery, love notes, small gifts, special treasures.

Worthing West signal box was located by the Down Main line alongside South Farm Road level crossing, and was a Saxby and Farmer Type 5 design which was opened in 1877 by the London Brighton and South Coast Railway. The signal box was renamed Worthing Central "B" on 5th July 1936. The signal box was renamed again Worthing "B" on 4th March 1968 and was further renamed Worthing on 30th December 1973 when control of Worthing station passed to the signal box after the closure of Worthing "A" signal box. Closure came on 4th June 1988 when signalling between East Worthing and Durrington-on-Sea passed to the new signalling panel in Lancing signal box, the level crossing being controlled by closed circuit television from Lancing signal box

The larger boxes are our wooden fermenters. Before we had them all inside simmering away, they were stacked up outside, waiting to be brought in, sanitized and have grapes stuffed in them. Eventually, we had each and every box going, several of them were even used twice for some of the quicker ferments.

The smaller boxes presented an unusual and frankly, vexing problem. The dumper has little adjustable catches that keep the bin from flipping out and into wherever you're dumping. These were too short for the clips, so several methods of securing them with blocks of wood were found -- all of them sketchy, but some of them successful. We didn't loose any bins in the hopper, but several pieces of wood had to be fished out until the procedure was perfected. What a pain in the keister!

Each year, Gallery Route One in Point Reyes invites over a hundred artists to create unique works of art using a wooden box.

Here are the inspiring artworks they created this year: they range in style from whimsical to poignant and thought-provoking. These photos were taken on closing day, when the gallery organized a live auction for each of this year’s 150 boxes. The proceeds support the gallery’s exhibits and community programs.

Two of the boxes were created by members of our art community: Howard Rheingold (a.k.a. Dr. Rindbrain) contributed an illuminated box called ‘Magical’, while Geo Monley and Meryl Rubenstein made ‘Les Puzzles.’

Members of ‘Pataphysical Studios came to cheer for their peers -- Dr. Really was the highest bidder for Dr. Rindbrain’s piece, which was thus kept in the family. After the show, we all went to Stellina to celebrate over a nice dinner.
