Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes
Little boxes
Little boxes all the same
There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
And the people in the houses all go to the university
And they all get put in boxes, little boxes all the same
And there's doctors and there's lawyers
And business executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same
And they all play on the golf course and drink their martini dry
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp
And then to the university
And they all get put in boxes, and they all come out the same
And the boys go into business and marry and raise a family
And they all get put in boxes, little boxes all the same
There's a green one, and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky
And they all look just the same
Just for the girls these cardboard boxes contain plenty of animations!

The Plausible Box from a Starbucks coffee bag.
Finished a bag of coffee beans this morning and I chucked it out. But then I felt bad -- it was made of some interesting laminate material and the design work showed some effort. (Red silhouette Vespa, yeah, that takes effort.) So, I ripped it apart and cleaned it up and made a box out of it. Folds not so great -- you really have to crease it. But I figure it's very waterproof.
I was going to go inside and leave it on a table, but I find that Starbucks has this jive-ass policy of not allowing photographs inside their cafés and I didn't want to freak anybody out. Instead, I stuck the box on the windowsill.
The Jewel Box is a greenhouse located in Forest Park, St. Louis, Missouri. It now serves as a public horticultural facility and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was designed by architect William C. E. Becker and built in 1936 by the Robert Paulus Construction Company.
I don't like to carry change in my pockets so for years and years we've had a container that keeps loose change out of my pocket and out of sight ... at least that's the theory. One could make a point that out of sight is now also "out of hand!" These days we seldom use cash so we collect less change but this photo project convinces me that I may get a reward by getting this stuff back into circulation.
The Tom Clark firgurine "Hyke II", like all of his sculptures, has an imbedded coin amongst the acorns and leaves in the front right part of its base. Hyke's expression and impish smirk are another reason people collect Tom Clark figures. For now he seems to enjoy being surrounded by a hidden treasure. Creating this photo made me Smile today!
Thanks for viewing, and commenting on my work. Happy Smile on Saturday Flickr Friends.
I was actually pretty happy to see this pull in. I know it's "just" a Boxster Spyder, but it actually has some "rarity" if you would, to it. Love this little beast.

Do not open the box! Every war is the senseless destruction of lives
in the interests of the arms industry and a few deranged fanatics!
for "Crazy Tuesday" theme is "boxes"

Apparently this bag type is called a 'box pouch'. I've been looking at various tutorials, youtube videos and pictures to see what the basic idea is and how I can make my own little changes. I particularly love the strap on one side, tab on the other idea. On this bag I made the tab wider, just because. I decided that a narrow tab is the way to go.
This bag is a gift for someone who loves green and chartreuse. Both fabrics are from the Geogram fabric line by Samarra Khaja. I was careful to line up the print and quilting along the zipper edge.
Aren't these fabrics fabulous? I love the different shades of green- even the grey is on the green side when you look at it carefully. So I picked a green background to go with it, of course.
I finished this bag just in time for 'Different Shades of Green' in the "Looking Close...on Friday!" group. Woot!

This box turtle had been digging nests, plus it had gotten a little too cold so it was apparently sleeping.
Most of the flower boxes in Venice had...well...flowers. This one had a succulent. It's still very beautiful.
