This is a secret box with a hidden compartment. It had been in my shed for many years until we moved house and now resides in my garage hence the dust and grime which I like..... Along with the old rug and fir cone. It still stores some old hidden coins
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a pink or purple day at Color my World Daily. And the theme at Smile on Saturday is money box. And guess what ? I have a collection of piggy banks :-). All my piggy banks are exactly like the one you see in the picture but different sizes. I started this collection 14 years ago, when I had my first son. I’m always putting my coins in my piggy banks and I try not to empty them… My biggest one weights almost 20 pounds !!! It is full of coins but I also put some bills …So who knows how many millions is there in this piggy ? Maybe I’m super rich ! Seriously I doubt it but I must admit that I stoped overspending during the pandemic… Isn’t that awesome ? I’m keeping my money for a family vacation when it will be possible again.
I just hope we will be able to travel again before my sons are adults…
Have an amazing day my friends !! See you later !
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!
Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and we celebrate boxes at Crazy Tuesday. And of course today is also Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays which I like very much !!
So happy orange/boxes/ Teddy Bear day to you all !!
And what is more fun than playing hide and seek in yellow origami boxes ? Playing hide and seek with a friend ! So that is why Mr. Teddy Bear invited his longtime friend Wiktor. Mr. Teddy Bear is in a red zone and he lives alone, which means that he is allowed to have one visitor and one visitor only. This is perfect for a small get together with Wiktor!!
At first Mr. Teddy Bear wanted to do some cleaning of his garage but then seeing all the boxes Wiktor and him decided to play hide and seek AND do the cleaning after ! Everything was super fun until Mr. Teddy Bear found a box full of Valentine’s Day decorations… Of course, it fell from the highest shelf and all the hearts were on the garage floor… That is when our Teddy Bear started thinking about finding love…Who knows maybe a box full of hearts was a sign ? Maybe he will find his soulmate very, very soon ! Who knows ?
Not me and I have to go since there is another video meeting in 5 minutes and I need my coffee very, very badly !!!
See you later my friends !! And have a beautiful day !
And just for your information , this is my picture number 308 !!! Will I make it to 365 ??
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and healthy!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

Fun Fact - Sloths can hold their breath longer than dolphins can.
There is a book called Life in a Box by JoDee Neathery.
I must admit, I haven't read it. But the title is agreed upon by Jeffrey.
For the Happy Caturday group theme "Books".
I'm quite busy these weeks, so isn't so active with comments as usual. But I see and enjoy every photo in the group.
As mentioned in a few of my previous shared images, I did go for a long outing on Stephen's Day as one could not do that for both Christmas Eve or Day. It was coming down in bucketfuls. This is the way down to the 6th Hole Tee box of the Bunclody Golf Course and unfortunately the River Slaney decided to break her banks and encroach onto the course, including submerging the Tee box.

This is the entrance to Box Canyon, Arizona. Series of pictures showing the makeup of the canyon, wonderful 4 whl drive country!
This is another sign of spring's imminent arrival...I've been finding these little beetles basking in the sun. Thanks to Prairie Hill for ID'ing this for me!!
is a box of love. This box holds letters from my daughter when she was serving in the Army National Guard in Afghanistan. Christmas ornaments made by my kids with their pictures in them and birth announcements of my Grandchildren. The necklace belonged to my mother and isn't usually kept in this box but it made the pic more interesting. It makes me smile.

Found this old jewel box in one my cupboards . The patterns and inlays are slowly peeling off but the work is still exquisite.
Took the photo in bright sunlight. on a white background .
The design and pattern on this box is found in many traditional and ancient Indian items.
If you like chocolate boxes, and let's be fair at this time of year they can be quite appealing, then this might be the shot for you.
Discarded in favour of a more arty upload a week or so ago, this one again features the 9.30am Arpley - Tunstead (6H02) hauled by DB Cargo 'Tug' 60044 'Dowlow' at Chinley, captured this time on the approach against a not-so-shabby autumn backdrop.
Note the faded 169 milepost, just to the right of the loco. Positioned beside what would have been a four-track alignment when installed, this would have been the distance to London St Pancras via the now closed route through Bakewell of the old Midland Railway. It's good to see a bit of history still surviving.
Processed at high-res, so it will stand full-screen viewing.
Commenting turned off, thanks.

Hi, Me again...
In April 2021, I received my first 35mm as a gift from a fellow photography enthusiast. I seriously had no idea what I was doing but I immeditely knew I enjoyed it. The sound alone was enough to give me shivers!! Since then, I have shot a few rolls of film, find myself in possession of 5 new cameras, managed to process 2 rolls at home, 'scan', and now I'm ready to put them out there.
I don't ever profess to be a perfect photographer. If fact, I'm usually incredibly insecure. Digital photography always had me seeking perfection. It is silly because life isn't perfect, but regardless, I feared things like proper exposure and unconventional subjects. (Yes....insert eye roll here!)
The thing about film though, it has given me freedom it be imperfect, appreciate 'flaws' and embrace everyday life in an authentic and unpolished way. Film has given me permission to love the imperfect and see it for all its beauty. Also, the fact that my hands are on it from start to finish....well that... that alone gives me immense satisfaction.
So.....I'm saying be ready for the perfectly imperfect. And just to prove it...I resisted the urge to edit out my chicken pox scars. :-) I'm going to be brave and start sharing what I've been working on and what I love.
Here goes....
