I hatched this bowling alley in a wild way. Slightly enoyed by everything opening up again. and again and again. We're trying to safe our countries but this is a world problem.Pffff. I don't have the answer either:-)

I don't pose Cookie with Cookies anymore because I'm not supposed to have them. After this shoot, and his near miss with disaster Friday. He deserves a cookie and so do I. One of the staff at Low Barns Nature Reserve had put a fat ball on top of a cage and it was quite popular with the tits. It was the turn of this Blue Tit to sample it's delights!

Bowling balls found in a garden near my home in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California. Taken with my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
A trio of SD70Ms race past the former SP tri-light at the west end of the East Bernard set-out track on UP's Glidden Sub. The signal base of one of the signals the bowling ball replaced can be seen to the right.
UP extended the East Bernard CTC siding a few miles east of here two years ago, and as part of that they built a new set-out track. Likely due to that, UP is now in the process of ripping out the switches for this old hand-throw siding.

This shot is not my usual wildlife photography, but I was so enamored with the architectural style of this art deco bowling alley that I had to get a shot of it. I made several trips as there was always a car parked in front of the bowling balls. Orange Bowl Lanes, Kissimmee, Florida
UP 5958, looking great in its fresh coat of UP's new paint scheme, races westward with an empty rock train through the small town of Eagle Lake, about 70 miles west of Houston.
Eagle Lake Jct, the former site of Tower 115, once hosted the crossing of 3 rail lines: the GH&SA, SA&AP, and Cane Belt. GH&SA and SA&AP became part of the SP, and the Cane Belt a part of the ATSF. The SA&AP diamond was removed in the late 70s or early 80s, and the Cane Belt was abandoned in 1990.
The SA&AP east to Houston became SP's Bellaire Branch, offering an alternate route for westbound trains coming out of the city. It was last used as a through route in the late 90s, with service continuing for a few miles east from Eagle Lake to Chesterville until 2008.
