Mooresville, NC – Bryan Johnson drove his 1LE-DSE Equipped Camaro to Indiana this past weekend to compete in the Midwest Muscle Car Challenge at Putnam Park and Terre Haute and came away with the autocross shootout victory while Kyle Tucker in the DSE 1970 Camaro Test Car won the 1981 and earlier autocross.

What a fantastic weekend for the racing at Putnam Park for the road course portion of the event and the Terre Haute International Airport for the autocross racing. Friday at Putnam was the start of the action with lots of road course racing. The great thing about this event is that it was broken down into different driver classes with 10/10th Motorsports around all weekend giving instruction to some of the newcomers at the event.

It was a three way chase for the top spot all weekend on the road course and autocross as Bryan Johnson and Kyle Tucker chased Danny Popp. At the end of the weekend Bryan won the autocross shoot out when Danny Popp tipped a cone on an otherwise perfect run. Kyle was able to secure the top time in the 1981 and earlier autocross and made the top five overall shoot out.

Thanks to Mark and Jessie of Bowler Performance Transmissions for another great weekend at the Midwest Musclecar Challenge and we look forward to seeing everyone and competing next year. Next up for Detroit Speed is the Goodguys Nashville show May 16th-18th at LP field in Nashville, TN. We hope to see everyone out there!

Also, watch for a new and improved DSE 1969 Camaro. Stacy Tucker is doing fine and appreciates everyone's concern.

Who loves the square body trucks? Our friends at Bowler Performance Transmission needed a “shop truck,” but they hate boring stuff; so they built this fun little 1986 GMC Sierra to do the job. It’s powered by a Chevrolet Performance LS3 crate engine mated to a Tremec TKO600 transmission and features a Little Shop Mfg hood hinge kit, Vintage Air, and Classic Instruments gauges. And it rides on RideTech's Street Grip suspension, Baer brakes, 275/40ZR18 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp2 tires, and 18x9.5/18x10.5 Forgeline CV3C wheels finished with Gunmetal centers & Polished outers!
