The holidays are over, snow and ice on the ground, and I’m having fun experimenting!

Frame and clock are from an app I purchased, the weeping willow is from PicsArt and the hazy background is my photo from an early morning trip….

I’ve held others before,

But it was never like this,

Where my body inhales you

And quivers with bliss.......

Red Hartebeest calf about to disappear into the dense shadows of the bushes in Addo Elephant national park...hurrying to keep up with its mother and the rest of the herd. It wasn't a very strong calf and seemed to be lagging far behind, walking with its tail between its legs and not looking as robust as the others...this image seems to make it look better than it actually did in real life sadly.

With nightfall close at hand I watched these youngsters hightail it across the meadow when they were startled by something.

In seconds they were bounding over the obstacle course of winter's discarded vegetation. It was a very enjoyable moment to watch as they leapt so high and effortlessly to get to cover. The one in the back overtook not only its sibling but caught up to the mother. By the time they made it to the woods, he took first place in the lineup.

With the meadow filled with all the clutter of windswept grasses, I decided to process this more like a drawing and soften the tangled framing and enjoy the movement they created.

My sunflowers have been growing by leaps and bounds. Fortunately one of the flowers are four feet tall....the perfect height for me to observe the center of the flower as it forms. Imagine my surprise as I noted a small white round item which appears to be an egg. I've tried, without success, to identify this single egg. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!...(Perhaps it is the cocoon of a silk worm?) ;)

A weather beaten fence stands high on the slopes of The Cairnwell, with Carn an Tuirc looming in the distance.

This trip sees me bagging 2 more Munro's. Carn Aosda, my 22nd Munro, stands at 917 meters (3008 feet), while The Cairnwell, my 23rd Munro, stands at 933 meters (3061 feet). They do both stand at the heart of the Glenshee Ski Development, so may be not a pretty or remote as some other Munro's.

Looking Northwest from the East ridge of Garbh Chioch Bheag. The rocky ground on the left is the North slopes of Garbh Chioch Mhor/Bheag, with the Northeast ridge of Sgurr na Ciche (1040m) behind; this extends across the image in the mid-ground to the top of Mheall a Coire Dhuibh (740m), surrounded by banks of cloud.

Beinn an Aodainn (887m) is the dark peak in the middle left, with Luinne Bheinn (939m) and Ladhar Bheinn (1020m) staggered behind to the left.

To the right of Beinn an Aodainn is Sgurr a Choire-bheithe, from which the ridge of Druim Choisaidh leads off to the right of the frame.

.. from above the Tottering Stone. It seems that there's been quite a lot of windblow both on the path up nescessitating Houdini movements, and also at the stone itself which you can see down on the left clothed in windblown trees. From here I headed up pathless steep rough terrain via the rake below the crags on the right as you travel up to emerge , again via windblow, on the fell above. … the rough bounds! (The reward was startling a red deer stag in velvet who obviously had never seen a human never mind two collies emerge from this particular spot before!)

Love flies, runs, leaps for joy; it is free and unrestrained. Love gives all for all, resting in One who is highest above all things, from whom every good flows and proceeds. Love does not regard the gifts, but turns to the Giver of all good gifts. Love knows no limits, but ardently transcends all bounds. Love feels no burden, takes no account of toil, attempts things beyond its strength; love sees nothing as impossible, for it feels able to achieve all things. Love therefore does great things; it is strange and effective; while he who lacks love faints and fails.
