Botox
Botox is derived from Clostridium botulinum, a bacteria found in many natural settings, and some mammals, fish, and shellfish. It is a generally harmless bacteria, but when the spores transform into vegetative cells, the cells increase. This makes the bacteria produce botulinum toxin, the deadly neurotoxin responsible for botulism. When broken down into extremely small concentrations, by injection in humans botox will work by preventing signals from nerve cells reaching the muscles, paralyzing them.
The neurotransmitter called acetylcholine is blocked when the botulinum toxin is injected. This will prevent the contraction of the cells in which causes the muscles to contract, or shorten. It is predominately used for this aesthetic purpose of reducing wrinkles/wrinkle appearance and fine lines. It is also used to treat over 20 different medical conditions.
Botox is not a permanent wrinkle reducing treatment. It will naturally dissolve every 3 months or so. Frequent injections can prevent future lines and wrinkling as well since the muscle isn’t moving as much. Results can vary based on the individuals metabolism and/or overall strength of their muscles. Botox may take up to 10 days to fully see the effects, usually only 3-5 days. The most common areas are between to the eyebrows, the “11” lines, the horizontal brow lines, and crows feet fine lines around the eyes. Botox is not used to treat deep lines, such as nasolabial folds or ‘laugh lines’. These are known as static wrinkles cased by sagging from loss of collagen, which filler, laser, pr surgery would treat.
Botox usage is based on units, and every patient’s dosage will vary on how many units they need for their desired outcome. If a patient doesn’t need the treatment, lets say a younger person with nothing to freeze, the provider should decline treatment all together. Some patients like more, and others like less usually saying they do not want to look “frozen”. Too many units in one area can paralyze that part of the face and make so stiff, you lose all expression movement. Again, with a properly trained provider the results are dedicated to making the lines disappear and have a youthful, more awake aesthetic.
Recovery from botox is minimal. You may experience some redness and slight inflammation in the direct are being treated. This usually disappears within a few hours. You will want to avoid exercise, or any activity in high heat for the day. Avoid rubbing the area while washing face or applying make-up, to endure the botox settles in the area injected and doesn’t accidentally move around.
Overall, Botox is one of the most commonly performed aesthetic treatments since 2002. Allergan, the company behind this major force has reported the sales of Botox climbed 14.5 percent to $934.5 million in the second quarter of 2018 alone, exceeding analysts’ estimates.

It's a short poem, story, statement, photo hybrid. I'm a little sad that it doesn't rhyme.
~~~~~~~~~~
Nightmares drip from silicone lips.
Eyes made from priceless gems follow your every step.
You're trespassing in a world for recovering beauties.
Higher beings.
Supermodels.
The hospital hallway is empty and filled to the brim.
Echoes of desperation spill over from each unoccupied room.
You are alone and surrounded. A whole soul inside an uncut body, crowded by the bits and pieces of plastic perfection.
The doctors are precise, like jewelers.
They snip and slice raw diamonds until they shine.
Beautiful but not quite.
Blood stains their bruised cheeks a expensive rouge.
Eyes highlighted by pain in a way powder could never duplicate.
Foundation would be a waste on skin pale and perfect from blood loss.
Wasted away limbs are the ultimate svelte.
Your face is bland and unbandaged.
Beauty unborn beneath your skin.
A snip. A slice. Could You join their ranks?
A Frankenstein monster to be loved.
To be worshipped.
The ultimate woman.
An artistic creation.
A masterpiece of poisons and incisions.
Be loved by millions for the face they've created.
Grant your devoted your vague attentions.
Smile your tight and twisted smile.
Please them with Botox kisses.
