In May1998 I called in at a place called Botany Bay Village alongside the M61 Motorway near Chorley in Lancashire. There were a few preserved military vehicles dotted around the grounds in quite good condition

I (right) picked up a shiny beetle on a botany hike and it excreted a smelly substance on my hand, which of course I shared with our high school intern, Nate (left).
