Painterly effect of an image I took a short while back whilst wondering around the Botanical gardens in Melbourne, Australia.
Created from layers of fall flowers and weeds from a recent trip to the Humber Valley in Toronto. This included asters, goldenrod, and burrs.

Las colecciones están enfocadas en plantas de las regiones mediterráneas de todo el mundo, esta es una vegetación vinculada al clima mediterráneo que se caracteriza por un largo verano seco, de inviernos suaves y lluvias en la primavera y el otoño. Este clima sólo se encuentra sobre un 5% de la superficie de la tierra pero en 5 regiones del mundo en las cuales las plantas tuvieron una evolución adaptativa específica que con todo da paisajes bastante similares, por lo que las plantas se distribuyen agrupadas, según las cinco regiones mediterráneas del mundo.
Las sendas nos permiten acceder de zona en zona, comenzando por las Islas Canarias situadas a la entrada y subir al Mediterráneo occidental reconocible por el instituto botánico, que sobresale.
Del hemisferio Norte, la zona con una mayor representación es la Cuenca Mediterránea, siguiendo el camino de visita se accede hasta las costas de California de clima mediterráneo.
Después se encuentran las zonas mediterráneas del hemisferio Sur donde se visita la región mediterránea de Chile, el sur de África, y las dos regiones mediterráneas del sur de Australia (SE y S).

The Darckr Flickr Viewer is a webapp and a mashup based upon the flickr web rest apis.
Darckr allows to view Flickr content and helps in social life and picture management, by posting comments, or editing photo parameters.
For me, Darckr is an experimental platform to study the web2 languages.
Working is easier in beautiful surroundings...
Darckr uses ajax for continuous page preloading and streaming (here my own pictures sorted by interestingness according to Flickr), and the mootools javascript api.
The originality of Darckr is that the end user can freely customize his preferred viewing settings and save them on demand in cookies.
Ironically, this free software has become the mostly used of my programs ever, with more than 3000 thousand users of the full functionality,
several thousand pages viewed per day, and some 70000 api calls per day.
Still rising :-).
Darckr uses Ajax to interact with one's flickr account in ways not offered by the flickr web site itself.

Wilson Botanic Gardens showing the new falls that have been developed. The changing water runoff with the housing developments surrounding this old quarry has meant that water needs to be added back into the small lakes that make up the bottom of the quarry/park.
