From Wikipedia - Boston City Hall "It is a controversial and prominent example of Brutalist architecture, part of the modernist movement. It was designed by the architecture firms Kallmann McKinnell & Knowles and Campbell, Aldrich & Nulty, with LeMessurier Consultants as engineers.
The building has been subject to widespread public condemnation and is sometimes called one of the world's ugliest buildings. Calls for the structure to be demolished have been regularly made even before construction was finished. Architects and critics considered it to be excellent work, with one poll from 1976 finding that professional architects describe Boston City Hall as one of the ten proudest achievements of American architecture. The building is a designated Boston Landmark.
Bailey taking a breather in the winter sun, on top of a snowbank that is usually a road, after the second of several huge snowstorms we had in Boston between late January and late February of this year. We ended up getting about eleven feet (3.35 meters) total, and there was about five feet on the ground when I took this shot. This year broke all Boston snowfall records, and it broke the city's mass transit system (the "T"), as well, bringing the city to a total standstill for a number of days on several occasions. But Bailey? Well, he thought it was the greatest thing in the world.

Boston is one of my favorite Cities in the US! I love stopping by Fan Pier every time I am in this city because it is a great place to eat take out food and relax before heading to the next city for work. Even during the winter it is so pretty and if you get to cold, they even have an outdoor fire pit burning to warm yourself there!

An Alaskan in Boston. One of the first things I do when I get to a new city is find a spot for a skyline image, then I find out when Blue Hour is.
Visited Beacon Hill for the first time. There were a lot of parked cars compared to the photos I've seen online (this is one of the few I could frame with no cars). Then I realized the trick must be to show up there with a camera on their street cleaning day - when there is no parking allowed. So I'm hopefully going to go back and take more pictures sometime without cars in the way.
