On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, the LBJ Presidential Library’s Future Forum hosted a conversation with four female leaders who saw the need for change and acted to make a difference for women in their community. Each woman shared her motivation, challenges, and successes. The panel included Lamanda Ballard, founder and executive director of the nonprofit Flo Code; Ke'Yonna Hall, curriculum development and training coordinator for the nonprofit Deeds Not Words; Jane Claire Hervey, executive director and founder of the nonprofit BossBabes; and Muna Hussaini, senior manager for DevOps Transformation at PayPal. The moderator was Megan Creydt, digital managing editor at Texas Monthly.

Future Forum’s annual Women in Leadership series has explored a wide range of topics, including building diverse and inclusive teams; the competing professional and personal demands women may face; women in government, featuring a conversation with Madeleine Albright; and, most recently, the historic mobilization of women in politics during the 2018 elections for local, state, and national office.
