The Öland Bridge towering over the Kalmar Strait during a particularly colourful sunset. This bridge is no ancient landmark, but it is an important piece of the island's history. After its completion in the 1970s, the population of Öland began increasing, and the little town of Färjestaden grew larger than Borgholm - the island's only recognised city.

This cute little mink is part of a family of four that have made a home underneath the Borgholm boardwalk. After fishing and filling its belly, this little one rolled around in the sun for a bit before continuing down the boardwalk.
