My friend Abi gifted me this yardage; I sewed it up on my grandmother's 1950 Singer 15-91.
I've blogged a little about construction; I am proud of this coat. It is underlined in flannel and features five hidden pockets, a padded hem, bust and back waist darts, and a bias-blocked sleeve.
My grandmother personified both a mature and rugged personal style, as well as a pirate-mouth! :) I miss her very much.

Jim Young: Difference between bootstrapping a product and company. With Friendster, they could have kept bootstrapping because the product was a success first.
Craig: Press has been kind to us and networked with them to help them get jobs and place to live and so on. Many do need VC finance because of the culture they are in. A neighbor in biotech has to because of the nature of relationships in his industry. Another friend doing independent films has do to so by virtual corporation and networking at film festivals. Take VC money, not for the money, but the advice and relationships.
Someone stands up to comment that they bootstrapped their company through Craigslist, even found their co-founders there.

Chapter 1 - Life in a Train station
Zephyrine Veridian grew up in Vaporog city a smokey city with it vast steam train industry. Here was the biggest Train station on the planet Smogrubberlexus within Universe-13S2. The city took up most of the land known as iron-borough where all around the heart of the city where lay a fog of white smoke was many smaller towns still linked to the city. Zephyrine Veridian lived in one of the smaller linked town called district 5. Her dad was named Archibald Veridian worked on at the Train station on his train called the Glossy-Duke It was a long shiny black and green well known train which was seen as high class to the rich. Zephyrine liked the trains but was told by her mother to not hang about by the train saying it was not safe. Her Step-mother was lady Victoria Gwendolynor, Victoria was well known for her high classed latex fashion had been with 2 husbands making Archibald her 3rd husband. Many said she only took Archibald for his money and she wanted a daughter to lead on her fashion in years to come in her name. Zephyrine’s true mother was Aurelia Veridian who worked on the air-ship of sky-port. When Zephyrine was 8 years old Victoria came and after spending time with her parents Aurelia left who day running out of the home when Zephyrine was in her room and Archibald was at work.
Chapter 2 - The train helper
When Zephyrine Veridian was ages 16 many of the boys in her city found her sexy and cute as her latex outfits where well made and form-fitting. She had them made by Victoria Gwendolynor’s tailors. Zephyrine loved black latex catsuits and corsets, and boots, So also liked to wear a shiny black latex dominatrix hat which she found was both fitting for her look and the fact she worked as a helper in the Train station. Her job was to help people find there train, and she knew all the trains and all the times of all the train and to where they were going. By the time she was 18 what knew everything about the trains on how they worked as many of the male train controllers like to talk to her and to be nice she asked about their trains. Many man got told off by the boss’s to get back to work and stop talking to pretty girls when working. But Zephyrine Veridian always wanted to help and she would even go a far as trying to help fix the trains and getting the parts needed to fix them.
Chapter 3 - saving Soleil Cogs
One day at when she was 19 she was sitting at the Train station on her free time watching all the people come and go. She saw a young mid teen pretty girl in and red and black latex outfit getting off a train named The Copper-veil she knew that train had come from Ship-peir City which was in the far south. As soon as This new latex girl was walking into the vast Train station of Vaporog city 3 men started to follow this girl and Zephyrine did not like what they where up to. She saw the girl walk the way towards her and the men now walking fast after her. Zephyrine stood up took her shiny black domatrix ridding-crop whip and hit one man in the face and one in the chest as the other ran off. Men who knew Zephyrine went after the men. Zephyrine hugged the latex girl telling her she’s safe and sitting with her. The latex girl was named Soleil Cogs and was 14 teen years of age. She had i bit of coal dust on her arm so Zephyrine got some latex polish on a cloth and polished it clean and shiny. Soleil Cogs was known for being the most skilled tinkerer for her age. Soleil was from Vaporog city and lived in district 11, but had gone to Ship-peir City for rare parts she needed.
Chapter 4 - Aurelia Veridian
When Zephyrine was 24 she got her own little steam train which was name Smokey-go it was not a train for people but to Import goods. When she was in Sky’s-foot city the city by the sea at the bottom of Sky-port to where the air-ships port she met her mother Aurelia Veridian who was very happy to meet her. Aurelia Veridian was in a stunning blue-black latex outfit, skin-tight leggings and a open dress and lovely blouse and corset. Aurelia Veridian said she was getting her clothing from a fashion icon named Aurelia Clockwork. Zephyrine said Victoria Gwendolynor’s tailors was making hers. As Aurelia Nautilus not liked Victoria she sent Zephyrine to see Aurelia Clockwork who had a shop in Sky’s-foot city. Her shop was named “Miss Clockwork Shine” and was in the top 3 ranked latex shop along with other shops such as “The Rubber Baroness” and “Piston & Polish”. Zephyrine loved the size of the shop and all the latex skirts, dress’s, tops, and even shiny boots, and whips. Her shop of both fashion and BDSM kink. Aurelia Clockwork aged 23 came in a sexy Black latex outfit and Zephyrine found her to be very sexy. As Aurelia Clockwork knew Zephyrine mother she said Zephyrine can have all things 50% off. So Zephyrine stayed in Sky’s-foot city to stay with her mother.
Chapter 5 - The sky-birds
When Zephyrine was 28 she joined the sky-birds and group of plots who have war planes, As many told of the time she saved Soleil Cogs in Vaporog city and she had not long stood up to save a girl from a lustful latex vampire girl in the night. Zephyrine had long watch the planes fly over and she enjoyed being in her mother air-ship called the rubbery-sky-lair. When she was 29 she got her own plane after a year of training. Her plant was named the silver-bullet, She had is wax to a high shine to go with her latex look. At this time she was in a relationship with Aurelia Clockwork as they now both slept to giver in a latex bed. And had fun making up new sexy latex outfit to dress each other in and have some sexy fun in. A year later a war started called The war of The brown lands. All the sky-birds where called out to fight. Aurelia Clockwork tried to talk Zephyrine out of it saying they could both fly away to giver, but Zephyrine said as a Sky-bird she had to go. Aurelia Clockwork made Zephyrine a thicker shiny black latex catsuit the plot in. When at the sky-port Zephyrine meet a latex girl in a full red latex catsuit, corset, and boots, her name was Isadora Nautilus and was aged 29, she was a successful gunship manufacturer, from Ship-peir city earning substantial income. Isadora became close friends with Zephyrine and Aurelia Clockwork who made Isadora an extensive latex wardrobe, including mini-skirts, tops, blouses, boots, and leggings. Isadora collaborated with Aurelia, who helped design her new latex outfits. Aurelia also modelled with Isadora for advertisements promoting the ships Isadora built. But Zephyrine did the most modelling as she was the model of the the shop “Miss Clockwork Shine” This era coincided with a rogue robot rampage across The Brown Lands, forcing the inhabitants of affected towns to transform their settlements into vehicles for relocation to safer areas.
Chapter 6 - The plot of Victoria Gwendolynor
At 36, Isadora Nautilus traveled to Aethelgard to visit Baroness Isolde Gear, a vampire with whom she shared a history. Meanwhile, 37-year-old Zephyrine Veridian took Aurelia Clockwork to Vaporog City to meet her father, Archibald Veridian. Zephyrine requested his blessing to marry Aurelia, to which Archibald consented, embracing them both. Although several of Zephyrine’s former suitors were disappointed by the news, the wedding proceeded at the Vaporog City train station, adjacent to her father’s locomotive, the Glossy-Duke. After being returned to Sky’s-foot City by Archibald Veridian, Aurelia Clockwork became Aurelia Veridian. Upon their reunion, Archibald embraced her, expressing how much he had missed her. Victoria Gwendolynor had previously claimed that Aurelia went to the undercity to become a vampire, consumed by lust and wickedness. Discovering this was a lie, Archibald grew furious, realizing Victoria had attempted to remove his wife to seize his wealth. Hearing this, Zephyrine resolved to confront Victoria and dismantle her latex fashion shop. Shortly after receiving the news, Zephyrine left a letter for her family and boarded a train to Vaporog City to confront Victoria. Armed with her latex whip, Zephyrine returned to her former home and struck Victoria, declaring, "I am the dominatrix here, not you. I am superior to you, and you will no longer dominate my life or my family." Zephyrine demanded that Victoria leave; however, Victoria refused, insisting she would depart at night once she had packed her latex clothing. Victoria attempted to use her beauty to remain, despite appearing younger than Zephyrine, even though she was twenty-five years her senior.
Chapter 7 - Back to her home city
After Zephyrine Veridian ousted the gothic beauty Victoria Gwendolynor, her wife, Aurelia, was renamed to distinguish her from her mother. Aurelia became Aurelia-Divine Veridian, while her mother took the name Aurelia-Von Veridian. Aurelia-Von subsequently remarried her ex-husband, Archibald Veridian, and they relocated to District 5 in Vaporog City. Aurelia-Divine opened a latex fashion shop in the city called "The Rubber Doll." For many years thereafter, Zephyrine continued her work assisting commuters at the Vaporog City train station where she grew up. At age 41, Zephyrine Veridian returned to Sky-foot City with her mother to retrieve their airship. There, she met 40-year-old Isadora Nautilus, who was dressed in a red and black latex outfit. Isadora was preparing to move back to Ship-pier City, disillusioned by Soleil Cogs; after becoming a vampire, Soleil had allowed her pursuit of beauty, power, and greed to consume her and was slowly taken over all the upper lands from her sexiness and money. Zephyrine hugged Isadora goodbye before heading to the sky-port with her mother to depart.
Chapter 8 - Timeline paradox
Following Soleil Cogs' dark transformation and consolidation of absolute power in Vaporog City, Zephyrine Veridian, a veteran of Smogrubberlexus, watched from Sky-port City alongside her wife, Aurelia-Divine Veridian, as shadows engulfed the Iron Borough of Soleil’s empire.
When Zephyrine was 44, an assassin named Black-Rust killed her wife, Aurelia-Devine Veridian, in District 3 of Vaporog City. Black-Rust had long hunted war heroes, working as a bounty hunter for the right price. News had recently spread that Black-Rust was hunting Lucrezia Sinfull. The off-worlder Night-Gloss pursued Black-Rust in Vulcania City, but Black-Rust’s skills proved superior, even against Night-Gloss’s magic. Afterward, Night-Gloss vanished into a portal. Zephyrine encountered a tinkerer named Professor Thaddeus Finch, nicknamed "Dr. Tempo." Although he possessed advanced technical knowledge, he was a mad scientist who frequently talked to himself. He arrived at the site where the portal had closed with Zephyrine.
Dr. Tempo explained to Zephyrine that time and gravity are linked, noting that gravity can pull and bend time. He suggested that a portal could retrieve an Aurelia-Devine Veridian, though she would not be the same person; she might not even recognize Zephyrine or share her preferences. When Zephyrine asked if he meant traveling back in time for her, the doctor shook his head. He warned that time is volatile and advised against attempting to stop Black-Rust, noting that encountering one's past self creates a paradox that may not align with one's own history.
A year later, the mad doctor had constructed a time gate. Zephyrine prepared to travel back in time. The doctor instructed, "Try to find me in the past; I have figured out how to send you back, but the technology will not be there to retrieve you. Oh, and Zephyrine, try not to get trapped in a paradox—those loops can be difficult to break."
Zephyrine returned to when Soleil Cogs was 14, and she eventually finds the DR when he is 37. During this period, Zephyrine becomes trapped in this timeline and matures within it. To avoid being seen by her younger self, she travels to the vampire city, where she grows close to Delilah Valmont. Delilah eventually turns Zephyrine into a vampire. Because Delilah is virtuous, Zephyrine does not become evil; instead, she becomes immortal, ageless, and more alluring. Over the years, Zephyrine has worked as a bounty hunter, tracking dangerous vampires using a powerful long-range shotgun and blades. Upon turning 33, Soleil Cogs became an evil, latex-clad vampire queen ruling the upper lands. Delilah, a spy, approached Soleil, promising to deliver Zephyrine. However, Delilah was secretly in love with the older Zephyrine, who was 64 but appeared to be 30. Delilah tricked the younger Zephyrine into bringing her wife, Aurelia-Divine Veridian, to confront Soleil; instead, Soleil captured both Aurelia-Divine and Zephyrine as her slaves.
Vamp Zephyrine was confused, as this had never occurred in her past. However, it meant she could traverse the upper lands without crossing paths with her other self. A year later, she encountered Dr. Tempo and followed him through the dark, smoky streets of Vulcania City to an old bar, where he sat intoxicated and weeping. Zephyrine sat at the far side of the bar, striking in her black latex catsuit and long coat. She placed her Black-Rust gun on the table just as an assassin named Last-Shot approached. "I have a difficult target for you," he said, sliding a paper across the table. It identified Blue-Smog, an escapee from Soleil’s palace. Zephyrine took the paper and departed. She tracked down and killed Blue-Smog, only to discover the target was Aurelia-Divine Veridian; news soon spread that she had been killed by Black-Rust.

I'm making up a particular historic shirt - and this is my first version, done in a homespun plaid. I adore homespun, not so much because I like it but my mother does, and my mother taught me much of my joy to sew.
