Lake Bled, the gift that keeps on giving. On the morning of the 2nd November, I woke at 5am and I opted to take the short drive down to Lake Bled at 6am to witness another sunrise, and wow, I was not to be disappointed.
I had waited four weeks since arriving in Slovenia to capture some great colour at this location and finally, nature treated me to a spectacular sunrise show. This is definitely a view that I shall miss terribly when I eventually return home to the UK but I have many, many photos to remind me of my hugely enjoyable times sitting on the bench with both cameras set up waiting for the magic to happen.
Memories and happy ones at that too are why I love my life as a professional landscape photographer. The sights I get to see and experience are priceless and I never take them for granted.
I hope my images help to put a smile on your face during these difficult times and I just wanted to reach out and thank each and every one of you for all your kind comments left and the personal messages that I receive privately expressing your joy and happiness in seeing my images, short videos and timelapses. The Isle of Skye is one of my favourite places in the world but prices for accommodation there have more than doubled even for the old, shabby hotels, without any increase in quality or value, sheer profiteering.
I cant afford to go there anymore so I am dredging through all my old shots.
The chances of good weather are very slim, most of my visits had really wet and windy weather which makes the high booking costs even harder to bear. Also, when the weather is fine you will be eaten alive by midges so invest in one of those wide-brimmed hats with the protective net hanging down.
This Grade II listed building was originally the entrance arcade and booking hall of Walham Green Station on the District Line.
Designed by the architect Harry W. Ford (Earl's Court, Barons Court and Hammersmith) and opened in 1910. It was built on the site of the original station entrance, which dated from 1880.
In 1952 the station name changed from Walham Green to Fulham Broadway.
In 2003 the adjoining site was redeveloped and the station entrance relocated within the new shopping mall.

Waverley station was the collective name of three separate termini opened in 1846 and 1847, although the name only dates from the 1854 opening of the 'Waverley' route to Carlisle via Galashiels and Hawick.
The three independent stations were taken over by the North British Railway in 1866-68, were demolished and replaced by the current station. The dome seen here from below was added in 1897.
The station was designated as a Listed Building, Category A in 1991.
