Emphasizing the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds, Día’s grand finale included a multicultural storytime, early literacy tables, resources from community supporters, book sale, giveaways, stem-based activities, break out sessions, author signing, and diverse theatre performances.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Library held a combination event at ImaginOn celebrating both the diversity of literature through Día and Around the World in 21 Branches, which invites the community to reconnect with the Library and make positive contributions through The CommonSpark campaign. Activities included several theater performances, dance choreography, storytelling, a puppet show, and more. Families had an opportunity to engage with and learn about various Library resources geared towards the importance of reading at a young age and connect with community partners.
