November 1, 2012 - Bolthouse Farms is voluntarily recalling a limited quantity of Bolthouse Farms® 16-ounce Carrot Chips following a routine sampling event, conducted on October 22, 2012, by a North Carolina health official. The company was notified on October 31, 2012 that the inspection detected the possibility of Salmonella in the single16-ounce bag that was tested. April 27, 2009: The past few days of warm weather seemed like the perfect time to try out my new popsicle mold (from Target). These are filled with a Bolthouse Farms smoothie drink - yummy taste and texture.
I´ve been longing for this moment since I got out of bed today.
Healthy breakfast, outside in the sunshine.
Yes, I do have a thing for cherries...but didn't intentionally post a cherry-involved SP 2 days in a row. It was an accident.
You see, this is the smallest glass I have & there is no way I am going to drink any more of this foul juice than what this glass holds. Look at it! It's ecto-plasm green! It's not natural!
You see, there is this juice company in California called Bolthouse Farms and they make a variety of delicious wholesome juices. It's been fun trying out different flavors, with the exception of this sludge.
There is spinach in this juice. Wheat grass, something called spirulina, and effing blue green algae. ALGAE. I am fairly certain there is also a decent amount of ogre phlegm in it, too.
Now if you'll excuse me...I have to go gargle some beer.

I like Bolthouse Farms juices a lot!! I try to buy them all the time, but if they are on sale at Target, then I really go nuts! Like today, when I brought home 9 of them ;P

The New York Foundling is thrilled to be partnering with The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) and Bolthouse Farms on this year’s Food Day event in the Bronx.
Food Day is the nationwide celebration and movement for healthy, affordable, and sustainable food. Food Day takes place annually on October 24 to address issues as varied as health and nutrition, hunger, agricultural policy, animal welfare, and farm worker justice. Spearheaded by the nonprofit Center for Science in the Public Interest and backed by a diverse advisory board of food leaders and organizations, the ultimate goal of Food Day is to strengthen and unify the food movement in order to improve our nation's food policies. www.FoodDay.org.
Today, Bolthouse Farms CEO Jeff Dunn joined Bill Baccaglini, CEO of The New York Foundling, celebrity chef and nutritionist Ellie Krieger, Food Day campaign organizers and dozens of children to officially open a rooftop vegetable and herb learning garden recently installed at The New York Foundling's Haven Academy Charter School as part of a partnership celebrating Food Day 2012. The event served as a kick-off to the more than 4,000 events taking place throughout the country as part of Food Day.
Following remarks and a ceremonial ribbon cutting, Ellie Krieger, also a New York Times bestselling cookbook author, kicked off a cooking lesson on food, flavor and taste. She guided students through a healthy salad recipe, where they created their own dish, featuring three grains, three beans and a wide variety of vegetables in a multitude of colors, such as carrots and peppers, explaining that each color represented different antioxidants in the vegetables. She also focused on the benefits of whole grains, healthy oils and how to enhance flavor using herbs and citrus rather than relying on just salt.
