I see so many of these that I rarely photograph them. They are one of the first species appearing in the spring and the last around in the autumn. This time I made an exception because of the setting. The plant is the rose campion (Lychnis coronaria).

The background is my barberry bush and the metal dog, cat and horse is one of those garden things you stick in the ground. I decided to post an un-cropped shot of the swallowtail on the flowers.
This carpet of Lobelia in the warm evening light was quite lovely.

As I have admitted before, macro is not my (photographic) thing. Sometimes though I try to exercise it even without the proper gear. Very rarely the result looks good enough to be shared in my eyes. Somehow this one felt like it had something nice although i don't think it's very sharp. Maybe i got drawn by the bokeh and the color of the flower. I hope you like it and that all of you are staying safe and healthy!
