Christmas Ornaments with bonus bokeh

To make the bokode targets I printed them on paper, then took a photo of them onto 35 mm slide film. This example is self-referential: the target is on film shown on the left. The right image shows the "bokeh" image, taken with the film placed in the "bokeh projector" and the camera a meter away but focused at infinity. (The text is the MIT's SIGGRAPH abstract).

The body of text here is about 3.5 mm high. A letter 'e' is about 85 microns high.

Christmas tree lights.

Complete with bokeh-twins-on-bikes. Gotta love March for all the daffodils :) Not quite sharp enough as shot on the run - had to jog to keep up with these two. Once they get more confident I think I will buy myself a bike too as we have lots of nice trails in our local area.

18/50 - 50 days of 50mm

About to head out to the Exposure Roanoke Bokeh shoot. Did a couple of quick shots beforehand to make sure the gear was limbered up.

As a side note, if you've ever heard of someone talking about "golden spiral composition", this is an example of what that can look like. The main focus is the orange stem and other objects follow an outwardly spiraling line.
