the Matryoshka doll is a souvenir gift given to me by my co-worker from Russia.
today's #cy365 prompt was icy bokeh. There's no snow or ice anywhere near me today (lots of rain, though!), so I made do with the beads on this shoe - kinda icy?

I'm off to see the Olympic Torch Relay which will be passing almost in front of my house this morning and stopping at my son's school this afternoon.
Will catch up on your streams later.
HBW!
I week ago I had never heard of the word bokeh. Now I have given it a go myself. The lights in the background are sunlight reflected from a shallow stream of water heading its way over a stone beach down to the sea. Can you tell me please whether I have created a bokeh effect or whether its just some fuzz? Honesty in any form is very welcome.
Anyway, we took a trip to Whistable today to make the most of the glorious January sun. We flew the kite; ate chips, fresh prawns and ice-cream; critiqued the colourful array beach huts; flinged stones into the sea; and scootered/cycled along the promenade. All the females of the family then slept on the car journey home.
I was trying to get a more intense bokeh than here but I settled with this!

We were zipping along a country road in Lancashire when I noticed a flash of colour out of the corner of my eye. Parking the car and investigating, we found a field of flowers being grown for sale. The farmer (they tend not to be the most welcoming to photographers} gave us permission to take shots of his great harvest and carried on tending his glorious sun-flowers.
I've been wanting to do this for the past couple weeks on Bokeh Wednesday but I couldn't get something I liked. I'm definitely stepping out of my comfort box on this one...yikes! Hope you all don't think I've lost my mind. I just love bokeh and felt like doing something totally different for once! This feels like a party to me, doesn't it?
Happy BOKEH Wednesday!!!!!!!! :)
