Sue Bird, the School of Geography and the Environment's librarian for over 25 years, retired in October 2016. She will be sorely missed by students and staff because of her indefatigable enthusiasm, dedication and bibliographical expertise.
To mark Sue’s retirement the Bodleian Library and the School of Geography and the Environment jointly held a farewell reception, on 20 October 2016 at the Weston Library.
Professor Danny Dorling gave a talk on his 7 New Maps of the World, which was followed by a celebratory drinks reception and speeches, given in the Blackwell Hall.
