Happy Weekend!
Texture/Painting created in Topaz Studio.
From close to where I was standing for yesterdays photo of townhall, I turned around and shot in the other direction. The boathouses just to the left are essentially downtown.

On my way to another location I just had to stop the car and try to capture the dramatic sky which was developing in front of me. Fast moving clouds and the sun almost breaking through made it perfect, but just minutes after this capture the rain started
boathouse and pier at the largest lake in the park, once also belonging to the abbey, but all 's of the community already long time, just open to the public
it was especially idyllic now in the snow... and romantic: young couple on the deck in the background watching the birds on the snow in the middle of the lake
much better in reality... just so much brighter and vibrant!
Stewarts Boathouse sits on the edge of a large lake in Fairmount Park in the City of Riverside, CA. Fairmount Park is the largest park and the second oldest in Riverside. Included in the 190 acres is the 40 acre Lake Evans. The park opened on Arbor Day, April 9, 1898, 15 after the incorporation of the City of Riverside. The park was designed by the sons of Frederick Law Olmsted, the designer of Central Park in New York. Stewarts Boathouse was dedicated in 1995, replacing an earlier structure on the same site. The Boathouse was designer by Robert Stewart and a team of volunteers in the mission revival design reminiscent of the original. The boathouse in is two levels. The lower level shelters pedal boats, available for rental, the upper lever is the Lakeside Room, a 1800 square foot event rental space.

Not sure what the story is on this boathouse. The sign is battered up and almost unreadable but the roof looks new and it's a metal roof. Those aren't cheap. Anyway, Happy Weekend Everyone
The morning sunlight is burning off the last bit of mist on the lake around this boathouse. Sometimes you have all the time in the world to set up a picture. Other times you only have a few seconds, or a minute. That was the case here, the mist disappearing very fast as I came upon this scene. I took this picture while I was out kayaking.

Lake Louise on a super cloudy, windy and chilly late afternoon...
Very crowded out there, this was the best I could get of the iconic boathouse without too many people in the shot. I had to frame and shoot fast as there was a guy about to step onto "my" rocks! 😊
Two wedding parties were there having their photos taken; oh man, did I feel sorry for the chilly brides!
0.5 sec, handheld, my attempt to smooth out the water somewhat as it's quite windy.
Heartfell thanks to your visit and/or kind comments, much appreciated! 💕🌹
