brought dog for second time on the boat, she was a pain when goin through locks constant whining and barking, when she couldnt see either of us, so had to start taking her off at each lock and tying her up, never again dont think she liked the occasional bumps and grinds of the boat..
Nantwich services, wasnt on our map, we pumped out just before here in an arm to private services, cost 15quid, whoops, and was a pain turning boat back out of arm, was a squeeze for a 60ft , just about made it with muscle power.
Moored before shroppie fly, shouldnt have come through the two locks before here, as we had to reverse back in the morning through the two locks to the winding, otherwise lots of locks ahead to turn round.Shroppie fly allows dogs and has wi fi
g/f felt cold so she lit the wood burner,five mins into tunnel, really nice,couldnt believe it......it was like driving through a chimney..
Broken cross nice but no food in evening,allow dogs in though,and can moor outside,although there is a busy bridge with traffic noise.
Moored after this lock, but next morning,found weed hatch seal had perished and water had emersed the engine, had to drag boat back through this lock,and into venetian marina to fix it, also batteries needed renewing cos never held charge, took all day to fix
This was day two out from Lymm,Had problems with boat, batteries not holding power for more than two hours after mooring,so set off again about two pm ,although work still needed on batteries as new ones had terminals other way round and needed new strap....
