WASHINGTON (May 10, 2022) — National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy and Member Michael Graham during today's board meeting on the Dec. 26, 2019, air tour helicopter crash near Kekaha, Hawaii, that killed six people.

Chairman Hersman and Captain Randolph and First Officer Terry of Southwest Airlines. Chairman Hersman flew from Love Field to LAX via El Paso in the jump seat of the Boeing 737-300. The four-hour flight gave the Chairman time to observe the two pilots and listen to their interactions with the air traffic controllers en route. The NTSB placed Improving Pilot and Controller Professionalism on its 2010 Most Wanted List.

The ECB Scholarship for Women, supports female scholars from low-income backgrounds to pursue postgraduate studies and to improve gender balance at our entry level positions.

 

As part of this scholarship, we welcomed 22 scholars from three different cohorts in an on-site study visit. This was an opportunity for them to learn more about the role of the ECB and to engage with the ECB’s Senior Leadership, including the Scholarship Sponsors and Executive and Supervisory Board members.
