I have been struggling with my internet connection recently (and still am!) It wont load your images at home. I am guessing its the signal and not flickr! So I am sorry for the delayed comments, am trying to catch up at lunchtime on my phone but time is limited and its not ideal.
I couldn't really tell what colour these tulips were when I picked them up at the store, they were still closed so tightly that colour wasn't peeking through.
Turns out I made a good choice with my pick. I really like the soft pinks these turned out to be.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy.

Despite the near record heat and moderate drought that we've been experiencing this season our peach trees are loaded with ripening fruit. Now the squirrels and I will race to see who gets to eat them. In past years the squirrels won and ate every peach, but I'm hoping that I'll get to eat at least one ripe peach from our trees this summer. This one is almost ready for picking. Backyard photography.
I've only found this rather gorgeous fungi twice, once at Worthington Lakes, near Standish, Wigan where I used to work many years ago and this one while on honeymoon in Sussex 30 years ago! Its another slide scanned and remastered in digital. A useful trick when it works for some things not seen again after a long period of time!
At the tip of the St Helens Conservation area is a boat launch area. I went out early one morning, before dawn to see if I could catch the light. However, it was not quite the right angle for the sunrise though I did get a quick pink blush before it brightened.
Apologies for all the Tasmanian photos but I did enjoy the wild beauty of the area.

This beautiful pink rose was seen in the Huntington Library Rose Garden after the sprinklers had turned off for the day !
Taken as a part of an advertisement project, using a fast shutter speed I was able to capture each of the pink particles flowing off of the brush.
Taken on the evening of my first day by the side of Loch Awe, this view to Ben Cruachan had disappeared by the next morning and save for one fleeting appearance didn't come back till I was leaving, such is life.
