using Speedlights to capture snowboarding is so much fun. making the picture is just only the half of the work. the more important part for pics like these is the riders ability and own style doing his tricks.
and for making his unique style visible, you need to freeze the action. best done with some speedlights.
i used two yongnuo yn560III, triggered with the great yn560tx remote. both fired with 1/4 of power.
i put one of the speedlights in the front left, low and out of the frame to light up the rider.
the 2nd speedlight was placed in the frame in the right corner for two reasons. first, i wanted some light for more contrast between the rider and the background. second, i really like to have some lightstars in the frame. just for effect. :)
i`m really happy with the outcome . what do you think?

Not totally happy with this picture because my flash wasn't strong enoungh against the bright sunlight from behind but i wanted to test out my new Superwideangle Lens. So here it is...
