I found one of the first released Apple Bluetooth Headsets today in the Apple Store in Marlton, NJ. My quick search did not find anyone else who had posted pics of an unboxing, so I figured I might as well try to be first. The unit is tiny, but fits well in the ear and has good sound. It comes with both the duo dock (to charge the iPhone and headset simultaneously) as well as the travel cord (to do the same in a smaller package). The coolest two features so far have to be the built-in magsafe connector on the headset for securely connecting to the dock or cable, and the fact that the Apple iPhone screen shows the charging status of the headset when both the iPhone and the headset are seated in the dock.
In addition to the QT Mobility client, the regular Python client works. You'll need py-bluez, with $GOODFET set to the MAC address of your RFCOMM module.

A short video showing the Arduino subway trains at the Monroe show in Monroe, WA, Feb 28-Mar 1, 2015. The infrared signals were flawless, but the trains acted erratically if their batteries got too worn down.
The laptop is an Acer Aspire One running Ubuntu 14.04, with a simple Perl script acting as train conductor to the two trains wirelessly via a USB 2.1 bluetooth dongle.
Each checkpoint is an Adafruit Trinket driving an infrared LED, powered by a 9v battery.
A clump of 2x6 brick was placed at the end of each track in the hopes they'd stop a runaway train. They were never really needed, but did get hit on occasion.
