Our spring birds are back...there are a few juncos hanging around still..Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!..Thank you very much for viewing my photo ! I truly appreciate any faves and comments ! 😊
Haven’t been posting anything because I have been hugely busy at work the last couple of weeks. The other reason being that I haven’t really found anything interesting to post in spite of the fact that I went to some parks on the weekends. I must say I have more variety of wildlife in my yard than I found in the parks, excluding people of course. So today I got fed up with the work routine and decided to concentrate on the Magpie that was taking a drink. I fiddled with my camera settings because the lighting wasn’t all that great and I also wanted her tail in focus which is always a chore with these guys because it is so freaking long. Finally, I decided to review my work in camera and the last pic pops up and I can’t believe my eyes when I see this Blue Jay blasting right by the Magpie and destroying my carefully crafted composition. On top of it, he needed to do this in the out of focus area. You can see by the look on her face that she wasn’t too impressed either. And that’s kind of how the last two weeks have been going for me and like the song says I could not see where he was coming from …

A bathtub shot. This Blue Jay stuffed two peanuts down its throat and grabbed another before it flew off.

When they come for Pecans they fill their mouth with more than one and then fly away to eat in private:-)
While I was working on the continuation of the peanut saga, many distractions reared their pretty heads, one them being the Jay in the image. So, who am I to refuse such a gift horse and away we went clicking. And I was relatively happy when I looked at the results on the LCD on my camera. Way happier after I viewed the results in Lightroom. There wasn't a single thing that needed tweaking. But of course I did. Who am I not to mess with perfection. Compared to doing the Nuthatch, this one was a breeze. It just simply came unto me and that brings us to Come Unto Me - The Mavericks.
Most of the leaves have fallen except some tenacious oak leaves which make a pretty backdrop. Have an awesome week everyone!
