Abused Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
Back Story .........................................
Arrived at The Dog Palace around 6:30AM.
Of course Mama was waiting at the head of
the driveway. Rocky and Legs showed up
about 10 minutes later. All three dogs were
fed quality kibble and fresh cooked meat.
Checked out the alien situation on the roof.
As you can see Mama and Rocky are giving
it a real close inspection.
Legs is hiding behind me just in case Mama
wants to go over the rules again !
Spent a great deal of time cleaning and sorting
some stuff out. My goal is to paint the inside of
the bingo room. The outside will also be painted
if there's enough funds to do this.
Paint is not cheap by any means. I have a few
tools that will be needed but the paint is an item
that will have to be purchased.
That project will cost around $100 USD if any-
one is interested in helping out, that would be
greatly appreciated.
10 kilos of fresh dog kibble was delivered to
the nuns and yes they were very excited .
OK, Lets talk about the computer and what
we, {Mr SideCar and I} did to it.
The computer had been yelling at me for some
time saying the hard drive is full !
Then it started screaming at me about the hard
drive situation.
Then it went into absolute panic and lost it's mind.
So, at that point it had my complete and undivided
attention. The computer had threatened to commit
suicide by blowing itself up hence all the photos
would be lost for ever and ever.
Mr SideCar dug through the bone pile in search of
the perfect hard drive that we could cannibalize ....
Well, it didn't happen as we planned so we had to
go for plan "B". That didn't work out either so we
went for plan "C". Plan C kinda sorta worked but
another plan is also in the works, plan "D" is our
backup escape plan ..
I am up and running right now as you can see, but,
my friend Mr SideCar is going to come by Saturday
night and we will fine tune what we have now. And
he may have found some worthy parts in the bone
pile by then too. Life is good ...... ;-)
Our friend from "down under" made a nice Christmas
donation for the Hooligans. Thank You Big Time.
Please don't forget this "abandoned abused street dog"
program runs 24-7 and eats up a lot of food and medicine.
In fact next week they all start going in for their yearly
inoculations/rabies injections. That my friends is going to
take a whole bunch of time. The doctors have said no
scooters till the middle of January. Which means no sidecar
for about a month.
Now I'll admit, 3 times I've taken a scooter to the village store.
That's about two blocks one way and I feel every damn bump !!!
OK, Enough talking for now.
Thank You.

A population of cranes spend the days at the Tsurui Ito Tancho Crane Sanctuary feeding and grooming and around sunset they fly off to spend the night in the nearby Setsuri River. In the late afternoon the shadows were extending over the snow and this individual was catching the last of the sun. Near Tsurui Village, Hokkaido, Japan

the busy IKEA shoppers were all laughing at me for 2 reasons, taking photos of nothing [as they saw it], and turning round and shaking my fists at the sun every time it went behind the clouds
Driving very slowly on a snowy back-road but stable and safe to drive with this amazing new Suzuki Bergman 400 cc Scooter. Now being serviced as I achieved 1000 km.
Sundogs and a solar halo around the Sun, December 19, 2013, shot from home with the Canon 60Da and 10-22mm lens. The halo is caused by ice crystals in the air, in this case very nearby as they can be seen as "stars" sparkling in the sunlight in the sky and in the foreground. This is an HDR stack of three exposures at 2/3rds stop intervals, processed thru Photomatix Pro.

Heavy snowfall mounded the rocks in a shallow stream flowing into Marble Canyon in the Kootenay National Park, BC
__
Softboxed SB28 each side, SB28 through brolly camera up slightly to the left, 430EX on the b-ground.
Note the atmospheric effect reflected in the color of the shadows: black in the foreground, but already blue just past the first formation, whose true distance is difficult to judge, but may be a mile, or more.
Later: But note too the darker shadows on the right in the distance. I now think that the bluish shadows are a result of light being reflected into them (shadows) from the opposite, pale walls of the canyon.
Legion of Honor Art Museum
Monet: The Early Years
The Magpie--La Pie
From the Musée d'Orsay in Paris!
They have displayed it so well! Lovely color on the wall for winter paintings and beautiful lighting.
Of course, the colors in a photo or any reproduction just don't compare....the snow and sky was whiter and the wall behind was brighter.
(I noticed that one of the paintings I love in the permanent collection at the Legion of Honor is in Paris at the Louvre with the Vermeer exhibition. It is Pieter de Hooch, Woman with children--La Nourrice, l'enfant et le chien, vers 1658. actu.orange.fr/societe/culture/exposition-vermeer-submerg... )
