This string of lights, hung between two Blue Mosque minarets, spells....Lailahe Illallah.. In english, this means something along the lines of .....There is no deity but God. or .....There is no lord worthy of worship but Allah

Dome above mimbar of hagia sofia. Hagia Sofia is no longer a mosque but Attaturk had it turned into a museum, so I believe the image of Mary (r) and Jesus (as) are later restorations.

A view of the Blue Mosque. All six minarets are visible. There was quite a dispute when it was built (1606-1616), because the only other mosque with that many minarets was the one in Mecca.
