No shoes in the blue mosque. There are containers of plastic shopping bags with local mechant logos at both entrances. Carry your shoes around and drop the bag off on the other side

Blue Mosque, Istanbul

One of the most famous mosques in Turkey. It has a long history, which you can look yourself up. And it's absolutely breath taking in real life.

Just about managed to get all six minarets into the frame.

 

This mosque is also known as the Blue mosque and is directly opposite the AyaSofya.

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

The man behind the camera is Turicil. And just outside the frame are about half a dozen touts, cheats, and professional fast talkers, trying to sell me carpets, postcards, belly dancers, and incredibly expensive shoe shines.
