In the immortal words of Rossana, Dana, "It's always something!"
Now Floydd is sick.
Besides missing the creature comforts of my home, the big down side to not living under the same roof as some of the cats is that I don't get to observe their behavior 24/7.
As a result, it's easy to miss signs when something's amiss.
Thankfully Larry, who's actually been spending much more time than I have lately at the house, noticed that Flyodd seemed to be having some issues in the litterbox and brought it to my attention.
Cats are masters of hiding discomfort, and it took me another day to confirm that he was indeed having some problem peeing.
We were off immediately to see the vet.
He's got a pretty serious UTI, and he had a partial blockage.....YIKES!
He's on 3 different meds, and I now have him at the apt. where I can monitor him carefully, and make sure there's no signs of a blockage. 8-((
“When flowing water...meets with obstacles on its path, a blockage in its journey, it pauses. It increases in volume and strength, filling up in front of the obstacle and eventually spilling past it...
Do not turn and run, for there is nowhere worthwhile for you to go. Do not attempt to push ahead into the danger... emulate the example of the water: Pause and build up your strength until the obstacle no longer represents a blockage.”
― Thomas Cleary, I Ching
I haven't been on flickr much at all since they (in my opinion) ruined it. I will make more of an effort when i'm not so busy to post more though! (Doll related stuff, not just cats!)
Toto got very sick not too long ago and had to be rushed into surgery. Poor little man had a blockage of some sorts in his intestine. He seems to be back to his naughty little self now though, but i'm having to sell a lot of my doll items to pay the vets!!
The mechanical doctors at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum are in the process of exploratory “heart surgery” to determine where the blockage is. We’re in the chest of Duluth South Shore & Atlantic RS1 No. 101 where three of the six fuel pumps of the blood-red Macintosh & Seymour 539 in-line-six can be seen with their fittings removed waiting their turn to be cleaned and unclogged and ungunked. The ALCo gurus of the Minnesota, Dakota & Western have been down from International Falls, Minnesota graciously imparting their rarified expertise with the Lake Superior Railroad Museum forces. It’s been a while since I’ve messed with M&S 538’s and 539’s and at one time I had huge stores of brand new 538/539 spares, some still in the cosmoline from WWII. In fact one of the crates of parts was stenciled for the Yorktown Class Aircraft Carrier USS Enterprise where presumably the spares were used to keep its SSDG’s (Ship’s Service Diesel Generators) running. Some of those spares eventually went to the Philippine Navy to keep their hand-me-down vessels from the US Navy operational. But back to the 101. It’s one of eight purchased in 1945 by the ever-struggling “Dead Slow Service & Agony,” a dissatisfied customers backronym given the railroad. 101 and her stable mates were eventually augmented into the Soo roster through merger in ‘61 until ‘63 when she went to work drilling coal cars in Indiana until ending up at the Consolidated Barge and Grain Company where in 1980 she came to an end, almost. Saved by the bell, a trio of DSS&A aficionados resuced her from certain demise and now diligently bring her back to life starting with her Schenectady iron heart. And though the expletives abound, she’s a labor of love and work in progress. . . (©14Sep20)
I just finished up one of the most precious children sessions I have had the opportunity to photograph, it was such a fun session! They were the cutest! It was so much fun to see a little baby too (brought back memories of my girls as little adorable babies)!
I am so glad to be back to what I love doing, photography! I was admitted to the hosptial by my doctor. I turned yellow with jaundice at the doctors office! I am so thankful the hospital took good care of me and fixed me back up! I was sufferring from a very painful gull stone blockage that shut my body's system down! I figured it was all just very bad heartburn attacks and that's what they were suppose to be like painful attacks that brought me to my knees, had no idea it was gull stone attacks! I had a few surgery's and am now home fromt he hosptial recovering well! I am so thankful for all my family, friends love support and prayers and photography that got me through that whole ordeal and am so glad to feel like I am back to normal again and just in time for spring too! :)

Bixby Creek Bridge, also known as Bixby Canyon Bridge, on the Big Sur coast of California, is one of the most photographed bridges in California due to its aesthetic design, "graceful architecture and magnificent setting". It is a reinforced concrete open-spandrel arch bridge. The bridge is 120 miles (190 km) south of San Francisco and 13 miles (21 km) south of Carmel in Monterey County along State Route 1.
Before the opening of the bridge in 1932, residents of the Big Sur area were virtually cut off during winter due to blockages on the often impassable Old Coast Road, which led 11 miles (18 km) inland. The bridge was built under budget for $199,861 (equivalent to $3.07 million in 2018 dollars) and, at 360 feet (110 m), was the longest concrete arch span on the California State Highway System. When it was completed, it was the highest single-span arch bridge in the world, and it remains one of the tallest.
The land north and south of the bridge was privately owned until 1988 and 2001. A logging company obtained approval to harvest redwood on the former Bixby Ranch to the north in 1986, and in 2000 a developer obtained approval to subdivide the former Brazil Ranch to the south. Local residents and conservationists fought their plans, and both pieces of land were eventually acquired by local and federal government agencies. After a $20 million seismic retrofit completed in 1996, the bridge remains functionally obsolete. Its 24-foot (7.3 m) width does not meet modern standards requiring bridges to be 32 feet (9.8 m) wide.
The bridge is "one of the most photographed features on the West Coast" and in the world. It has been featured on "postcards, TV ads, everywhere," according to Debra Geiler, project manager for the Trust for Public Land. The bridge's location on the scenic Central Coast of California, the parabolic shape of the arch, the tall spandrel columns, and the architectural piers contribute to an "intense aesthetic experience." "It's the gateway to Big Sur and the interior has never been logged. The land is pristine." Zad Leavy, former executive director of the Big Sur Land Trust, described the land as "...the most spectacular meeting of ocean and land in the entire United States."
The bridge is 714 feet (218 m) in total length and 24 feet (7.3 m) wide, with 260 feet (79 m) of clearance below, and has a main span of 360 feet (110 m), which places 50% of the total roadbed above the arch. The arch ribs are five feet thick at the deck and nine feet thick at the springing line, where they join the towers at their base. The arches are four and one-half feet wide. The bridge was designed to support more than six times its intended load.
The two large, vertical buttresses or supporting pillars on either side of the arch, while aesthetically pleasing, are functionally unnecessary. Engineers of later arch bridges such as the Frederick W. Panhorst Bridge omitted them from the design. The Rocky Creek Bridge and the Malpaso Creek Bridge to the north are also open-spandrel arch bridges built of reinforced concrete.
The bridge was already popular before the introduction of smart phones and social media, and visitors to the Bixby Creek Bridge and other Big Sur attractions have dramatically increased since then.[ Due to the large number of visitors, congestion and slow traffic between Carmel and the bridge is frequently the norm during popular holiday and vacation periods. The bridge was rated as the No. 1 “Instagram-Worthy Destination for 2019 Travels” by the website Travelpulse.com. The California state tourism commission describes the bridge as "a must-see road trip spot for many and probably the most Instagrammed features along Highway 1 coastline." It promotes the bridge world-wide, including a deal with China's online tourism operator Tuniu that put the bridge on a custom route.
During holiday weekends and most summer vacation periods, the bridge area is "like a Safeway parking lot" according to a local resident. Traffic can come to a standstill as motorists wait for a parking spot. There is a pull out to the north and west side of Highway 1, but when it is full, visitors sometimes fail to completely pull off the highway, leaving inadequate space for passing vehicles.
The area near the bridge has become overwhelmed by visitors. Tourists routinely ignore warning signs to stay off the cliffs, and walk across the narrow 24 feet (7.3 m) wide bridge, although there is no room for pedestrians. There are no toilets within several miles of the bridge, and visitors resort to defecating in nearby bushes. Residents complain about toilet paper, human waste, and trash littering the roadside. On December 29, 2018, two dozen residents and business leaders turned out with signs alongside the northern approach to the bridge to launch a campaign they've named The Big Sur Pledge, encouraging visitors to treat the region with more respect.
The bridge was featured in the opening scene of the 1969-70 television series Then Came Bronson, in the films Play Misty for Me, Escape To Witch Mountainand The Sandpiper, and in numerous auto commercials. The bridge is also featured in the video game Grand Theft Auto V. Most recently, the bridge was featured in the opening credits of the 2017 television series Big Little Lies.

Wow! Highest Position Explore #14 April 26, 2014 Thank You! www.davidrironsjrphotography.com Hi Everyone. So sorry it has been sooo long since my last post. Life really did get in the way this time. I pride myself on being extremely healthy, working out and eating right. Still with all of that, life can still throw you a curve ball. We I was thrown a big curve ball in the form of a heart attack! Fortunately because I am healthy I have been able to recover fairly fast. Physically I am good, meaning no blockages in the arteries, normal blood pressure and normal cholesterol. Electrically my heart was screwed up which led it to being very week, hence the heart attack. So I have just had a surgery to implant an Internal Cardiac Defibrillator, which will keep the heart beating correctly and slow it down when it speeds up too fast. I have not been on in a while and I am hating how I cannot separate the paragraphs here!!! Since I could not drive for two weeks, my nephew came up from Salt Lake City and was my chauffeur. We visited the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in Mt Vernon Washington. I do not apologize for the slight abstract nature of this image. The light was bright and really lit the tulips up. This is a combination of three handheld images (-2,0,+2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix. Did a slight crop in Photoshop as well as a little bit of "Dodge and Burn." I toned back the luminance of the red and yellows in Lightroom and added a bit of sharpness. Please do not use my images without my permission. I own all images and they are availible for license or purchase. Thank you.
f you dump your bike like this, you need to know that it could be dangerous for anyone who is old, disabled, and/or mobility impaired. Park it properly!
The autopsy of my father's body showed an unusual blockage in his heart. The blockage was that of solid ice. I couldn't figure out why, but I remembered a news report from twenty or so years ago about a criminal that used an ice-gun as his weapon. He was called Captain Cold.
Why am I bringing this up? Well, about a month ago, a man named Leonard Snart had been part of a criminal group experiment. He was one of the few criminals that had chosen to make their weapons a physical part of themselves. With help from Darwin Elias that was possible. Snart had chosen the powers of Cryokinesis. Thus the news has given the name Captain Cold to Leonard Snart.
With his new found abilities he had went on a crime spree. Freezing his victims and literally crushing anyone to pieces if he felt like it. He was emitted into Brookfield Heights a week ago. The same prison my dad was in. Within twenty four hours he was already breaking people out of their prisons. A surviving guard said that he saw my dad trying to play the good guy card and Leonard had shot an ice crystal at my dads chest. That, I suppose, was the cause of death.
Anyways, Leonard Snart was spotted taking control of a bank in New Brighton. So, I race off to that bank. As I arrive, I notice the door frozen and ripped from it's hinges, now lying about ten feet right of the bank entrance. Looks like I found Snart...
I run inside and spot Snart threatening the bank teller to get him all the money in every safe. the teller says he can't do that without permission, and Snart raises his arm up to the teller's head. Before he can do anything I run towards the teller and carry him outside.
"Find a phone, and call the cops."
The bank teller is confused at what exactly just happened, but he nods and runs towards a phone booth... do those things even work anymore? Oh right, Snart is robbing the bank.
I rush back inside the bank and Snart is missing. A hostage pointed to the back room. This is obviously where the safes are. As quickly as I can I run inside and find Snart unloading safes as quick as he can.
"Leonard Snart. Stop what you're doing now!"
"Oh, so the son comes to avenge his father. Fantastic."
Wh... how does he know?
I charge at him and carry him outside. I won't allow him to hurt anyone inside that bank. He looks around to his surprise. Before he can do anything, I punch him as hard as I can without killing him I send him flying into a butcher shop. He struggles to get up, but before I can, I punch him into a freezer.
He stands up and I walk inside the freezer. There's a pig hanging on the wall... it's a cheap weapon, so I won't try to use it.
Snart begins conjuring an ice shard and he throws it at me. I dodge it as it lodges itself into the wall. Before he can throw another one at me I charge him and punch him in the head. He falls to the ground and takes off his goggles.
"Y'know, it's funny..."
"What?"
"You fight just like you're father."
Wrong thing to say. I raise my fist up, but before I can knock him out he stops me.
"Wait! There's one thing I was to tell you... It's from a man you'll meet later on. He wanted me to tell you this in these exact words... You'll see me once, you'll see me twice, but the third is when you'll pay the price."
A death threat? After he says that I knock him out cold. I will not let this frighten me...
Jonah seems to be doing okay. He's still on pain meds and antibiotics. Getting used to the collar is difficult and would be extremely funny if he wasn't so frustrated. He can't eat the food he prefers so getting his special food into him is a major feat. He still insists on being close to me ALL the time. It was a traumatic ordeal for the little guy but I'm fairly confident he will make a complete recovery. He goes into the vet for a quick check on Friday but stitches won't come out for appx 10 day. He's already starting to itch.
I am posting a couple of shots of the operation site but it will be available to contacts only because it is kind of gruesome. If anyone else thinks they need to see it just Flickr mail me.

Oh thank God, we're out. Similar to how last year operated, part of Big Bus Day sees two buses operate open-top sightseeing services around central Hull, usually using both a Beachcomber and the preserved 'family silver' Titan. Well, unfortunately, the 'family silver' is under deep restoration by a group of apprentices at the minute, so we've got a replacement vehicle doing the work for it a little further up the road. Barring a poorly-parked car blocking the set-down point, this side of the event actually went off without a hitch, and good sun and no blockage finally allowed me to take what I thought was the best photo of the event while waiting for the next bus to show up.
Seen here taking on passengers for another round on an open-top tour of Hull is Scarborough Locals' 'Beachcomber' 891, a 2005 Volvo B7TL Wright Eclipse Gemini new to Travel London as their V35 before passing into Abellio London as 9035,
I am very depressed! Why must I wear 'the cone of shame'? Just because I eat walls, mattresses, sticks, rock and engagement rings and nothing has every gotten stuck before?
Karren is the name given to the distinctive fluted and ridged formations of limestone, eroded by the elements along natural fissures in the sedimentary rock. Limestone is the remains of marine organisms, deposited on ancient seabeds, and the alkaline rock is susceptible to corrosion by rainwater which has absorbed carbon dioxide from organic material, turning it into a weak carbonic acid. When acidic rainwater permeates fissures in limestone, it dissolves the rock, creating channels through which water can carry slit, sand and other material, which, in turn, erodes an even wider channel, carrying even more corrosive water, and more eroding material. This is how caves form, and, over thousands of years, massive passageways and caverns can form in the deepest and hardest limestone. In shallower, softer limestone, collapses and blockages are far more common, and caves, often, do not reach such massive proportions. Areas of limestone topography are known as karst landscapes, after an area of the former Yugoslavia, characterised by such topography.

Hard to tell on a Sunday but this place looked like it was in its death throes. Having just checked, it is apparently still open as a garage and they are still Ford specialists even if their official tie with Ford ended some time ago. I'm sure they haven't sold fuel from here for a long time, but they certainly still were in the older photos I have from 1993. The garage did get the newer Butler livery so can push that date another two or three years but I suspect by the end of the last century they had called it a day for retailing fuel. As you can see from one photo, the narrow road along which this garage is found was fenced off for building work at one end, at first I wasn't sure I'd be able to get any better photos but then I found a different way in to bypass the blockage. The near pump, now white, was a second hand Esso pump when first installed, that much is clear from the only decent Streetview shot. That suggests it was in use even more recently than I first thought as why else would they have painted it since 2016 - unless of course it is another different replacement pump of the same type, actually I think maybe it is, but in any event, they wouldn't have got it unless they intended to use it! The other two pumps are great survivors and the very same that were here in 1993. It's good to see the lovely Stymie Bold Italic lettering for Castle Garage is still there even if overall the building looks a little bare compared to its days as official Ford dealers.

THIS IS NOT AN ARCHIVE! I repete, this is NOT an archive! I am VERY happy to say that I was able to, with minimal pain, go out to my second home, La Jolla today! Ok, so there was a SMALL amount of pain. Here is what I did:
I took out the Canon 40D and left the heavy, with battery grip, 7D at home. Smart move! Then, I left the heavy gear, which I did last time too. I had only a camera, one lens and my shoulder bag, goes over the left shoulder. Important to note because the surgery was on the right shoulder. I had the small bag with filters and thats all! Well, a cleaning cloth and cable release, but I cannot shoot like this with out those.
And the second reason why this was not at all a bad trip, I stayed OFF of the wet, slick, and dangerous rocks. I stayed on level ground, with minimal walking. I have to say, I needed this trip! I needed to feel like a photographer again! Even if it might be another week before I have the strength to do this again, I needed to feel the high of splashing waves below the cliffs. I needed this like I need breath in my body!
And thank you to every one who had to put up with a while of archives, never fear, more archives tomorrow, I wont be able to do this every day! But perhaps once a week to the end of the year? I pray I can keep that up at least!
And now, for the geek talk: For this image, I used two ND filters. I used the B+W ND106 filter and the ND8, made by who ever, I forgot, but its a 3 stop filter. A total blockage of 9 stops of light. A perfect combo to keep form on the waves and yet get the movement of the water, PLEASE< enjoy!
What you've got here is a blood clot. Red blood cells are trapped in the fibre bundles (fibrin, I believe) and held there to create a blockage. That weird cell towards the bottom left is committing suicide by apoptosis..

I always love the compact form factor of Minolta CLE, the most advanced Leica M camera for almost 30 years. Inexpensive and nicely designed too.
Here's an extreme combination. Although ou can barely hold the handgrip, but all the functions just works fine. Minimal blockage on the viewfinder and generally good balance. Although it feels like you're holding a lens to shoot but not the camera. :-)
While sleeping at night on first day campsite, the only thing which came in my mind was to return back from here. Earlier, we had faced bad attitude of porters, unfriendly behavior of Gujjar’s, unavailability of bread in villages and most of all, the unplanned glacier road blockage. Our four team members have already returned back on day one. Among them, one of our team members Tanwir Jogi got seriously ill because of diarrhea and have to return back to Soch village, even before the start of trek. Everything bad was happening with us.
On second day morning, when I opened my eyes, I saw five out of eight of our team members were preparing to return back from here. They did not wanted to waste more days on this journey. I asked from Rashid bhi a friend of mine from Faisalabad and my brother Salman what we should do now. Would, we go further from here or also returned back with rest. Both asked me whatever decision has to be taken, that need to be carried out by me and they will be agreed on it. Salman came to me and said, at least we should gave a try and let the other members returned. He further said, It might be happened that we could never able to visit this place again in our lives. I decided we three will continue the journey ahead. We revised our plan and decided to attempt North east pass for entering Sirkhata valley. This pass was earlier discussed with me by one of the icon of mountaineering Ahmed Mujtaba. According to him it is tough one. From top of this mountain pass there are three further routes extends: one extends towards Manusar Lake the other one enters into upstream of Jalkot nala valley and third one which we have attempted was upstream of Sirkhata valey.
except for a bit of rain, the past couple weeks have been one of the mildest autumns we've enjoyed. After a few complications with my ruptured bile duct, then a blood infection that was hiding and took a while to find in a lab culture, and a week on IV antibiotics my gallbladder was finally evicted. I was hoping the past many months of ill health were coming to a close. Unfortunately, after a week of testing negative while admitted to hospital, I tested positive for covid on the 7th day. That cancelled my last ERCP to remove the blockages and shunt put in last month. Somewhat on hold with getting all fixed, but hoping to end 2022 much healthier. Through this all Halle Lu has been amazingly careful and attentive with me. Today I went outside for the first time and sat in a lawn chair with my real camera. Had my favourite 70-200mm lens on the Canon which I realized instantly was a mistake. Halle Lu was so excited to have me outside with her again she wouldn't go more than 10" away from me. Had to call my husband outside to lure her away. You can tell by the slight torquing of her front paw she held still for only a 1/2 second then raced back to me. She had a blast! I'm itching to be well enough to hike, play and be active with her again.
Halle Lu trivia: my husband Don needed to use chicken breast and lots of calling to get Halle Lu far enough away from me to take her pic

The kiwifruit (or kiwi) is the edible berry of a cultivar group of the woody vine Actinidia deliciosa and hybrids between this and other species in the genus Actinidia. The Actinidia is native to Shaanxi, China.
The most common cultivars of kiwifruit are oval, about the size of a large hen's egg (5–8 cm / 2–3 in long and 4.5–5.5 cm / 1¾–2 in diameter). It has a fibrous, dull green-brown skin and bright green or golden flesh with rows of small, black, edible seeds. The fruit has a soft texture and a unique flavour.
Originally known as the Chinese Gooseberry, the fruit was renamed for marketing reasons in the mid-20th century, first to melonette, and then to kiwifruit. The latter name was chosen for the indigenous New Zealand bird, kiwi, which is one of the country's national symbols. The first renaming was done in order to avoid a tariff on melons imported into the US. It is not uncommon outside New Zealand and Australia for the fruit to be referred to simply as "kiwi". Today, kiwifruit is a commercial crop in several countries.
Kiwifruit is a rich source of vitamin C, 1.5 times the DRI scale in the US. Its potassium content by weight is slightly less than that of a banana. It also contains vitamins A and E. The skin is a good source of flavonoid antioxidants. The kiwifruit seed oil contains on average 62% alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid. Usually a medium size kiwifruit contains about 46 kilocalories, 0.3-gram fats, 1 gm proteins, 11 gm carbohydrates, 75 mg vitamins and 2.6 grams dietary fiber.
Kiwifruit is often reported to have mild laxative effects, possibly because of the high level of dietary fibre.
Raw kiwifruit is also rich in the protein-dissolving enzyme actinidin, (in the same family of thiol proteases as papain), which is commercially useful as a meat tenderizer but can be an allergen for some individuals. Specifically, people allergic to latex, papayas or pineapples are likely to be allergic to kiwifruit also. Reactions include tingling and sore mouth; swelling of the lips, tongue and face; rash; vomiting and abdominal pain; and, in the most severe cases, breathing difficulties, wheezing and collapse. The most common symptoms are unpleasant itching and soreness of the mouth, with the most common severe symptom being wheezing. Severe symptoms are most likely to occur in young children.
This enzyme makes raw kiwifruit unsuitable for use in desserts containing milk or any other dairy products which are not going to be served within hours, because it soon begins to digest milk proteins. This applies to gelatin-based desserts as well, as the actinidin will dissolve the collagen proteins in gelatin very quickly, either liquifying the dessert, or preventing it from solidifying. However, the U.S. Department of Agriculture suggests that cooking the fruit for a few minutes before adding it to the gelatin will overcome this effect. Sliced kiwifruit has long been regularly used as a garnish atop whipped cream on one of New Zealand and Australia's favourite dessert, the pavlova.
Kiwifruit also serves as a natural blood thinner. A recent study performed at the University of Oslo in Norway reveals that--similar to popular mainstream aspirin therapy-consuming two to three kiwifruit daily for 28 days significantly thins the blood, reducing the risk of clots, and lowers fat in the blood that can cause blockages.
Thank you Wikipedia.org for the information about kiwifruit!

Although you probably know that the third eye is associated with wisdom and intuition, you may not be aware of the side effects that can come with opening your third eye. For example, it can induce uncomfortable physical sensations. Similarly, it can make it hard to regulate your own behavior, and it can lead to confusing experiences during your sleep. So, does this mean that it is better to keep your third eye closed? Alternatively, do the benefits outweigh the potential costs?
We’ll explore how to open your third eye and explain how to tell if your third eye is open already, along with considering the dangers of opening third eye chakras. As it turns out, all of these dangers can be mitigated by careful foresight. To that end, we'll suggest a range of techniques that will help you ensure that your third eye is a source of empowerment rather than fear.
What Is Your ‘Third Eye’?
The third eye is located in your pineal gland, which ancient philosophers believed was the seat of the soul. It is the third eye that allows us to intuit possible futures and make sense of our own potential, and it evolved to help us identify underlying patterns in our lives.
Everyone has a third eye, and everyone gains access to it. However, some use it more than others, and with greater intensity.
Any time that you have a gut feeling, you're drawing from the perception of your third eye. For example, just think about the times when you simply knew you should go to a particular place or seek contact with a particular person, even though you couldn't justify this choice with articulable logic.
It's helpful to think of the third eye as a unique sense organ; one that can be honed and sharpened with work.
In addition to helping you read your environment and access intuitions about the path you should follow in life, it can help you tune into particular vibrations in other people. This means that strengthening your use of the third eye not only enhances your perception but also assists you in connecting with people whose energy fits with yours.

Third Eye Awakening: How To Know If Your Third Eye Is Open
Many people mistakenly think that they need to work on causing a third eye awakening when in fact it is already open. This is largely because fear and uncertainty can prompt us to ignore what we take in with the third eye; we are often raised to discount our “hunches”.
So, how do you know if your own third eye is open? The easiest way to answer this question is to pay attention to whether you have gut feelings, even one that you suppress. The more seemingly baseless intuitions you have, the more likely it is that your third eye is currently open, whether you want it to be or not.
Third Eye Opening Side Effects
In addition to causing strong gut feelings, having an open third eye can induce a wide range of other side effects.
In particular, look out for the following third eye opening side effects:
A light feeling of pressure between your eyebrows. This could be similar to the sensation of someone gently pressing a finger to the skin in that area. This needn't happen when you're feeling particularly spiritual, but it is often a reminder that the spiritual dimension of life is currently relevant.
Starting to picture things in your mind (or even starting to dream about particular things) before they happen.
A sense that colors are brighter and that your environment is sharper. An open third eye allows you to take in light and details that you would otherwise miss, and this can be intense or overwhelming at first.
Feeling like you are changing on a fundamental level, even if you struggle to put it into words. It's common for the third eye to open because of transformative experiences, or to occur just before a period of great growth.
More frequent tension headaches (i.e., headaches that feel like pressure on your temples or like a band around your head). This is sometimes explained as being a result of your mind working harder than usual.

What Causes Third Eye Chakra Blockages Or Imbalances?
It's important to be aware that you may struggle to open or utilize your third eye. In particular, blockages or imbalances can develop in the location of the third eye chakra, and it is only by dislodging these blockages that you'll be able to access the full power of your intuition. Common causes of this sort of imbalance include exhaustion, resistance to the power of your third eye, high levels of consistent stress, and repeated emotional conflict in your life.
Remember, your third eye can be underactive or overactive, so be aware of different cues. If it is underactive, you may struggle to concentrate, feel anxious, find it difficult to self-reflect, and feel somehow disconnected from the people around you.
Meanwhile, if you're dealing with an overactive third eye, you may be trapped in over-analyzing your current situation, feel mentally “fogged up”, and repeatedly escape into daydreams rather than engaging with real life.
7 ‘Dangers’ Of Opening Your Third Eye
As you’re now aware, there are many reasons why you might want to open your third eye and lots of ways in which you can benefit from doing so.
Of course, however, opening one’s third eye is not without risks.
If the process is improperly managed, you can end up feeling overwhelmed and may struggle to deal with your new sense of power. Third eye opening side effects include the following, all of which can be effectively managed with careful planning.
1. Vivid Dreams And Nightmares
If your third eye opens at a time that you don't expect and you're ill-equipped to manage it, your sleep can be severely disrupted.
In particular, you may experience especially intense dreams and nightmares, some of which can be frightening. You may also wake up feeling tired, and find the images from your dreams keep returning throughout the day in a way that makes it hard to concentrate or relax.
Meditating before going to bed can help you to counteract this possible side effect of third eye experiences, encouraging your mind to enter into a calm and balanced state that facilitates less erratic input from the third eye.
In addition, keeping a dream journal can help you understand the underlying themes from dreams and nightmares, and your third eye will typically stop overloading you with repeatedly intense imagery if you process the lesson or message that is being represented during your sleep.
2. Scary Accurate Intuition
When your third eye first opens, your finely honed faculty of intuition may feel like more of a burden than a gift. You may become so good at predicting what will happen in your life (or how others behave) that you feel truly unnerved by it and find it daunting rather than useful.
In time, you will become used to the improved accuracy of your gut feelings. The lesson here is not to try and repress your gut feelings. Instead of reducing their frequency, pushing them away tends to make them come back with a greater level of intensity. This includes in the form of dreams, as mentioned above.
To deal with the scarily accurate predictions involved in opening your third eye, try to remind yourself that these intuitions will help you make good choices. While it can seem bizarre at first, it is also the key to a happier, more informed future.
3. You May Become Fearless
Sometimes, people report a fearlessness associated with opening your third eye chakra, as they have a sense of being invincible or super-human. The opening of the third eye can be deeply empowering, and with this empowerment often comes a dramatic increase in self-confidence.
So, what should you do to ensure that this new fearlessness is healthy?
Firstly, it's important to note that an open third eye doesn't make you omniscient So, it's still important to think carefully about everything you choose to do in life.
Secondly, it's helpful to deliberately engage the rational parts of your mind in order to make sure you get some logical input to balance the raw intuition few to you by the third eye. For example, it can be helpful to write a pros and cons list about something you're thinking about doing. In addition, write down all the feelings and intuitions that strike you.
4. Astral Projection
When you astrally project, part of you leaves your body and travels elsewhere. This typically happens in bed at night, when your soul or essence may raise up above your physical body and leave you feeling frightened and confused. As you become more spiritually powerful by opening your third eye, this power can emerge at unpredictable times and this can be difficult to get used to at first.
The trick here is to realize that there is nothing inherently dangerous about astral projection. You can not get “stuck” outside of your body. Plus, nothing bad will happen to your body during the period in which you temporarily detach from it. Try to view experiences of astral projection as signals that your intuitive faculties are sharpening and that you are becoming more and more in tune with the universe. Once this type of experience becomes more normal, you may even find it pleasurable or profound.
5. Your Eye Chakra Could Become Overactive
When your third eye becomes oversensitive, you may experience some of the physical side effects that we discussed above. Most notably, you may develop a sensitivity to light, with bright sun and vivid colors becoming almost offensive to look at.
In addition, you might start to get uncomfortable headaches that your doctor considers to be unexplained. It's unpleasant to deal with these signs of having an oversensitive third eye. Therefore, it's important to work on balancing your third eye charka (more on that below).
In addition to this balancing, you may find it helpfully to temporarily limit your exposure to, especially stimulating environments. By gradually increasing the time you spend outside, for example, you can slowly allow your third eye to become acclimatized to the intense sights and sounds that flood it. Meanwhile, relaxing your body will help to reduce the tension in your head muscles, potentially dulling your headaches.

6. Third Eye Awakening Can Be Confusing And Scary
The mere opening of the third eye can itself lead to feeling confused and frightened. In this way, you may even start to ask how to close your third eye as the new flood of information can leave you destabilized. In some cases, you may even wonder if there's a way to go back to how things were before.
However, it's vital to remember that you are merely gaining access to information that already existed all around you.
You're not changing the future or reading the thoughts of others; you're just tuning in to cues that you didn't use to know how to interpret.
When you attempt to view the opening of the third eye as just an increase in a previous capacity, it can seem much less frightening. Further, try to remind yourself that your spiritual awakening can really only be good for you in the long term. It will help you understand your life's true purpose.
7. Chaotic Behavior
Finally, as well as feeling frightened, you might notice you start to behave in inconsistent ways. This is similar to the way in which any major change can lead to erratic behavior. You may want time to adjust to the opening of your third eye, and time to figure out what your newly sharpened intuition should mean for how you behave.
Be patient with yourself, and don't expect yourself to immediately know exactly how to manage everything you're learning and feeling.
As well as simply waiting out this adjustment period, it can be helpful to exercise a little more restraint than usual. In other words, question the urges you feel before simply acting on them. Plus, quickly check that you can stand by your behavior before you choose to put it into practice.
Meanwhile, let those you are close to knowing that you're going through a period of growth and adjustment so that they can offer support and compassion.
“I Opened My Third Eye And I Regret It!” – How To Balance Your Third Eye
If you're worried about opening your third eye and want to ensure that you don't regret it, make a consistent effort to keep your third eye chakra balanced in a healthy way.
The following techniques are especially effective in balancing your third eye:
Practice meditation on a daily basis. This can be a simple 10-minute exercise during which you focus on your breathing or scan your body for sensations. Or, it can be a more complex meditative journey if you're already experienced.
Put lavender or neroli essential oils on the pulse points of your wrists, or light scented candles that include these oils.
Ensure you get approximately eight hours of sleep per night. Practice good sleep hygiene! For example, remove electronic devices from your bedroom and do something relaxing for at least an hour before bed.
Eat foods to nourish the third eye (including red onion, blueberries, blackberries, eggplant, red grapes, and raspberries). In general, any red and purple foods are said to be connected to a balanced third eye chakra.
Recite daily affirmations that relate to the third eye, such as “I acknowledge the wisdom that comes from within me” and “I am open to the inner guidance of my third eye.”
www.thelawofattraction.com/dangers-opening-third-eye/
Since ancient times, the third eye had been revered by all kinds of cultures. Today, we know it as the pineal gland, but it is still called the third eye in the spiritual realm. The third eye is viewed as a spiritual sign representing our capability to conquer all kinds of challenges in daily life by tapping into our inner wisdom.
But there is much more to the third eye than that. In most Eastern traditions, the third eye is undoubtedly real; a thing that anybody can perceive and obviously feel if they have a strong sense of self and mindfulness. It is what is often referred to as the connection between our body and our spirit.
When we meditate with any consistency, the third eye opens and your inner guide becomes stronger and a more present guiding force in your life.
HERE ARE FIVE SIGNS YOUR THIRD EYE IS OPENING:
1. A DULL SENSATION OF PRESSURE BETWEEN THE EYEBROWS.
Generally when the third eye starts to manifest on a much deeper level, there’s a related consciousness of sensation between eyebrows. It could seem like somebody is lightly touching us at that moment, or you might feel a spreading of warmth.
Sometimes this sensation could appear from nowhere; whether we have spiritual feelings or not. It’s as if it’s a signal to pull us back in that spiritual state of mind.
2. INCREASED FORESIGHT.
Among the most obvious signals of third eye opening is an increase in foresight or intuition we start to experience – if we are paying attention.
Intuition is the capability to know something might happen before it does or knowing something is right or wrong because of a feeling or sense. It often comes and goes without notification. However with time, this feeling could get stronger, and turn out to be a guiding process in our daily lives.
We might start to sense warning signs or what our next action should be without explanation. Don’t dispute your intuition. Use it! It might not always be right; however it most certainly will put us on the right path.
3. PRONE TO LIGHT SENSITIVITY.
With the opening third eye, we could find ourselves a little more sensitive to light and seeing colors more brightly.
Vivid colors and our awareness of light may begin subtly; they are not always instantly obvious or overwhelming. However, the sensitivity to light often brings further awareness of what is happening around us. When focusing deeply on the third eye (like in meditation), the lights of the third eye might appear.
The third eye and it’s reference to light has been talked about for years in many traditions worldwide. It is well-known in many forms of art and religious works. If you study the works, you can often see the light reference in circular shapes and star-shaped lights peeking through the clouds.
Our eyes will change over time, and we might feel like we just can’t get enough sun on our skin. This is normal. Soak it up! Just make sure you are not harming the skin.
4. A FEELING OF GRADUAL AND CONTINUAL CHANGE.
Most importantly, fostering a healthy third eye steadily changes our perspective and personality in life. It results in beneficial changes because we want, and maybe even crave them. We can usually see it in the way we treat others. We might become more tolerant and less selfish.
5. INCREASED HEADACHES.
A headache pressure is stronger than the pressure talked about earlier that happens between the eyebrows. At times, that pressure can begin to ache a little. Consider it a little bit of energy overload. Go outdoors and do a thing you cherish, like meditate or walk.
Head pressure is an actual sign of the spiritual eye opening, particularly in the center of the forehead. It is an indication that one’s pineal gland is developing energetically.
Never apologize for being a strong woman!

TIPS TO ENGAGE THE THIRD EYE
When our Third Eye is opening, we’ll begin body-to-soul discussions in our mind with an understanding of our place in the Universe and that we are the creator of our reality!
We will encounter greater states of mindfulness, enabling us to visualize a better life and take focused action to help us live up to our potential. We’ll become very intuitive, possess a good memory, and we’ll have the ability to understand without any problem.
All I wanted to do was water some plants in this hot dry spell of weather. I filled the watering can, tipped it up, and ... nothing!!! No matter how much I tipped it up ... nothing!!! I removed the cap of the sprinkler. No blockage ... and then a head poked out of the can spout. It was a frog in the throat (of the watering can that is). Eventually, we came to an agreement ... I tipped some water out and it came down after a little bit of flushing.
Becky's not a Fashion Model but...here's
Becky's @ Bay Model
The weather has been mostly wet for a couple of weeks now here in the SF Bay Area and likely to be for a few more. Something we really really need out here in the West this year. The last couple of years have been quite dry.
However, long range weather models (and TV weather gals too) showed that there was going to be a let up last Thursday, so I decided to see if I could rustle something up.
I called one of my semi-local friends and said, "How'd you like to see some modeling?" Being a curious type like me, she said sure and we arranged a multi-day visit to her place.
The modeling I was suggesting was not us, or other fashion models, but the old Army Corps of Engineers "Bay Model", now a National Park here in the Bay Area.
It is a nearly two football fields sized model of the San Francisco Bay and surrounding water shed. The horizontal scale is 1 to 1000, vertical scale is 1 to 100 and was used for roughly 50 years to model the effects of various changes to the bay due to changes in land use, seasonal water flows, channel blockage, dredging, etc, for the second half of the 20th century. The modeling is now mostly done on computers, but this physical model is still used for education and public policy purposes.
I've known about it for years, but only recently had the opportunity to visit when it was open.
The day was nice, the weather great, the crowds low and my friend's company always nice.
My friend and I had planned to get some more pictures, but we quickly got involved in the aspects of this kind of modeling and didn't even get to see everything...so I guess we will have to go back again... Oh darn.
Anyways lots of interesting local history too. The site (including this building) was used during WWII as a shipyard, "Marinship", making mostly oil and fuel tankers, similar to the Liberty and Victory ships being made across the Bay at the Kaiser Richmond shipyards (T-2 and T-3 tankers for those in the know). Nearly a thousand ships were built in the shipyards of the bay area during the less than 4 years of the war (1942 -1945). A really amazing feat of engineering and construction. Nearly 100 were built here, one being built and delivery in only 33 days. Wow. (Today, I fear we would still be arguing about the first page of the contract at the 33 days mark.)
Anyways, I had a great time with my friend Roxy and then we had a nice dinner at a grand opening at a new fancy restaurant in Napa. A simple but fun evening.
The weather was mostly wet on Friday, but I meet a couple of other friends for lunch on my way back home.
All in all a nice three day mini local vacation. Looking forward to doing it again, now that we have some of processes worked out.
I hope everyone is having a good New Year so far. Its only 2 weeks in and I'm on track for a bigger and better year.
The COVID rates are way up again around here, but with a little extra caution, I've been OK so far. I'm still avoiding most tight crowded spaces, but that still leaves lot of less crowded and more open spaces to operate in. The Bay Model was great for that. Maybe 20 folks "packaged in" an open two story space the size of two football fields... not crowded at all.
I'm looking for another break in the weather, but I'm glad we seem to be restocking our reservoirs well at the moment and am glad to trade a few sunny days for that needed water.
You all be well.
Hugs, Becky

We have just celebrated our nation significant 46th independent day with high esteem of endless festive events line up beyond simply words of description. Each year, timeless of careful planned, exciting n extra-ordinary exhibition of our national day parade will attract million of millions die-hard spectators with anticipation events awaiting for the electrifying 4-5 minutes of excelling, spectacular grand finale, the state of art synchronizing technology fireworks display . It all happen here at the hottest talk of the town, the unique structure of Marina Bay ,.. I strongly recommend one of Singapore's best selective spots, especially the 360 degree panoramic viewing platform high up here at the Marina Bay Sands exclusive sky parks where it provide an sensational unobstructed overlooking the celebration events at a memorable distance u hardly will forget in another decades!
I''m suck at using black card for the first time, I wish those expert out there could share the little secret of "technic" shooting with a black card during firework events. With no experience, I had notice n aware my occasion placement of cards near lens had accidentally cause physical slight vibration that turn out unsatisfactory blurry result , further more, the amount timing require/apply blocking the light sensor really puzzle me with cold sweat??? What the hell is the correct technical tricks to apply during the process of holding n dismiss during blockage. Pls clear my mind n huge doubt. . I had to confess is a total failure attempt this round so pls advice .

When I started at JJs I couldn’t stop myself from exploring the Richards design, so here in this photo we see a collection of engineering aspects within their hopper arena. Even though this particular design is produced by JJRE, there are similarities to that of the Rico Recovery Systems equipment, which I guess is stuff that has carried on from the beginnings. As has been the case almost entirely since the first Richards side loader, a paddle packer is used to sweep the hopper, which has its own distinct shape making it identifiable as the Richards version. As seen there are only small body holes on these models, which in most cases is no problem with general waste and the featured mixed recycling pushed through comfortably, but feeding bulky greens can get ugly. While these packers operate like any other with regular success, they are more prone to blockage around the centre mark even under the lightest resistance. Richards use a valve system to operate the packer through the middle point, which is a mechanical means over the angle sensor used on other models, and it seems to make the paddle more susceptible against dense/heavy loads. The shown paddle is the standard duty size used in most applications, but they also have a larger version available for the big recycle bodies.

In July 1897 the Commissioners decided that two lighthouses should be erected on the Haddingtonshire coast - on the Bass Rock and on a suitable place near Dunbar - as the unlighted condition of the area was causing concern.
Consequently, Barns Ness Lighthouse was established in 1901 and a light was first shown from the Bass Rock on the evening of 1 November 1902. The cost of the Bass Rock Lighthouse was £8,087:10:4.
The Bass Rock is a massive crag rising out of the sea to a height of 350 feet and it is about a mile in circumference. Through the Rock, from the East to West, runs a natural tunnel, but this is not accessible except at low tide.
Halfway up the Rock stands the ruins of a Pre-Reformation Chapel which was dedicated to Saint Baldfred, and was consecrated in the year 1542. Saint Baldfred was said to have his cell on the Bass Rock, dying there about the year 606. The Bass has a long and varied history. It is mentioned in writings dating back to the region of Malcolm Canmore and the first recorded owner was Sir Robert Lauder, who was granted a character for it around 1316. This family (Lauder of Bass) retained ownership of the rock for hundreds of years and must have been connected with the erection of a Pre-Reformation Chapel which must be dedicated to St Balfred in 1542, as well as being responsible for the building of the fortress.
Earlier, in 1671, Charles I claimed the Bass as Royal Property and it was sold to the crown for the sum of £4,000 sterling by the then owner, Sir Alexander Ramsay of Abbotshall, Provost of Edinburgh. The bloody pages of the Bass Rock's history now unfold when, under another Lauder (dale) known as the Captain of the Bass, the fortress was turned into a prison for Presbyterian ministers. Between 1672 and 1688 some 40 political/religious prisoners died in the dungeons of the rock. In 1691 during the reign of William and Mary, a party of four Jacobite prisoners escaped from their cells and captured the fortress when all the garrison was engaged in unloading coal. For the next three years they held the Bass for the Old Pretender and defied all attempts by Government forces to retake it. Aided by supply ships from France, this unique quartet even carried out raids on the Fife and Lothian coasts! In 1694 a more effective blockage finally starved them into submission, but they negotiated favourable terms and walked out free men! The fortress continued as a State Prison until demolished seven years later. In 1706, the Bass was sold to Sir Hugh Dalrymple, whose descendants still own it.
From then, up until the First World War, the rock was let out to tenants who earned money by fishing, grazing sheep (Bass Mutton was a famous 18th Century Edinburgh delicacy) and by killing young sea birds and collecting eggs. The last tenant of the Bass, a Mr Easton, was a North Berwick fishmonger.
But the true owners of the Bass Rock are, of course, the birds, for almost every available inch is occupied by razorbills, guillemots, cormorants, puffins, eider ducks and various gull species. But the bird of the Bass is the Gannet or "Solan Goose" with a breeding colony of 100,000 pairs, making the Bass a mecca for international ornithologists. It is thus only fitting that this superb sea bird's latin name "Sula Bassana" should be derived from the word Bass. Even as long ago as 1792, the gannets of the Bass Rock were famous both for their numbers and as food. Find out more about the birds of the Bass from the Scottish Sea Bird Centre at North Berwick.
Until 1988 when it was demanned, the Rock Lighthouse was lit by means of incandescent gas obtained from paraffin oil of a high flash point. There was an oil container in the Light Room to which bassrock3there was connected an air container and the oil was driven from its container by the air at pressure to a vaporiser where it was converted into a bunsen gas for heating a mantle which it rendered incandescent.
The new light is Biform ML300 Synchronised electric with Bifilament 20 watt lamp.
The Light was automated in 1988 and is now remotely monitored from the Board’s headquarters in Edinburgh.
Funny how life can take a cruel twist.
First thing this morning I ordered a nifty fifty lens. I thought it would be nice to do something different - a bit of pet photography and take more pictures of my rabbits Jack and Pumpkin once Spring is underway.
Then I went down to find Jack floppy in his hutch. We rushed him to the vet but before we knew it we were saying goodbye to him as he had a gastro blockage and could not be saved. He was only four and should have been with us a bit longer.
So this is now a tribute photo, the only decent photo I have really taken of him. A reminder of how important photography is as a reminder of things precious in life. I wish I had taken more photos of him and I miss him already.
he Tintina Trench is a linear valley, extending into Alaska and south across the Yukon. It was first recorded as a geological feature in the early 1900s by R.G. McConnel, a geologist with the Geological Survey of Canada. The GSC named it the "Tintina (meaning Chief) Trench"
Beneath the Tintina Trench is a fault line along which the bedrock has shifted a minimum of 450 km laterally. Some 65 million years ago, the rocks presently beneath Dawson City were adjacent to those of Ross River! About 8 million years ago, the earth's crust separated along the fault, creating a wide valley or trench.
The Tintina had a dramatic impact on the river drainage system. The formation of the trench created a channel for the rivers draining the interior to the south. Later, blockages due to ice build-up during the first glacial period around 3 million years ago, caused the Yukon River system to be re-routed.
Water, which once drained in a southerly direction, was forced northwest into Alaska. The mighty Yukon River itself, which now flows to the Bering Sea, once flowed south to the Gulf of Alaska! Evidence of the ancient river can be seen as old terraces along the redirected river north and south of Dawson. These remnant shores contain gravel types from the The Tintina Trench

Based on Tromas' AD-Rock mecha.
I figured out a way to add torso twist to it.
I haven't looked in while, but last time I checked Tromas' frame was one of the smallest, most poseable that still fit a minifig.
I asked him to break it down a while ago, and he graciously did, then like a huge jerk I just sat on the info forever. Now I've finally got the MOC blockage cleared I can try to finish what I started.
Christmas Day is nearly upon us, so here is a jolly cracker of a photograph to illustrate one of those shiny occasions when nothing went wrong. No sudden cloud blockage, no unit substitution, no focus error, nothing. It's semaphores, sunshine and a diesel hauled passenger train co-existing in harmony for this moment. Everything went right at Abergele for the passing of the 09:50 Manchester Piccadilly - Holyhead service, 67014 at the controls. The livery currently adorned by this loco has been out of date for almost five years - when will it succumb to the stark contrast of DBS red?

A mixed stand of conifers and colorful autumn hardwood trees, New England.
Near the spot where I made this photograph, a carpet of wildly colorful hardwood trees was draped across valleys and ridges. It was quite a sight, but it was also very difficult to photograph it. One of the challenges of photographing in this part of New England comes from the very forest that produces those colors. The darned trees grow so close together and come right up to the edge of roadways, making it very difficult if not impossible to make photographs of longer views from many locations. That was definitely the situation here — lots of colorful trees, but lots of things standing between me and those trees.
It eventually occurred to me to use the blockages as part of the photograph. in this case there were conifer trees growing nearby and among the hardwoods, and once I thought about how I liked the effect of the muted green conifers against the riotous hardwood colors it seemed to make sense to juxtapose the two types of trees in this photograph.
