Caught the train down to Kent today, to see my friend Katherine. Had a lovely time hanging out with her, her fiancé and their gorgeous wee daughter. As ever, we spent so much time nattering I failed to take any photos, so took this on my way home through Waterloo East station.
Got home to Tim who had spent the entire day doing stuff for our residents association committee, bless him. I cooked us a big chilli for dinner and we settled down for a nice relaxed evening.
Beaucoup de bois flotté (troncs, branches et morceaux d'arbres) s'est échoué au pied des dunes, plage de la Riviérette (ou petite Maïre) à Portiragnes-plage.
Dans ces amoncellements, il m'a semblé voir cet ours blessé.

The thursday before father's day we had a really bad storm come through my part of texas. We has had straight line winds from 91 to 115 miles per hour. They were as strong as category 2 hurricane. After the storm over 250,000 people where out of power, some still don't have power. I thank all the people that have helped with restoring services, opening up cooling shelters, making sure everyone that needed it had access to food, water and a place to get out of the heat. Last friday started a heat wave that saw the heat index reach over 115 degrees. Line workers from all over the country have come down to Texas to help us recover and get back on our feet. We thank you all so much for what you have done!

Some hotel guests where bread feeding the fish, and this clever female realizes the potential for a easy meal, it was close but directly into the midday sun, but hope you like it as much as me.
The pied kingfisher is the largest hovering bird in the world, and has to eat one quarter of its weight a day to survive, the female above has one bar on its chest and the male two. Best viewed large!

Over the past months I've been tempted to leave Flickr a few times. Misunderstandings,recieving hurtful emails,etc. I don't like losing people
who I consider friends. Guess I wear my heart on my sleeve. Sometimes
there can be reconciliation,but sometimesyou just have to move forward
and leave it in God's hands.
Since these things happened I have recieved so many kind words and encouragement.
