"Mary our Mother is the model in our faith, because we can learn, we can know and we can have strong faith in God if we follow how Mary our Mother shown: from the very beginning when she received the message of being the Mother of God and up to the end when she was witnessing Jesus on the Cross. So she showed us very strongly as Christians how we must be in our faith, especially nowadays where we find our difficulties here and there, so Mary is praying for us every time and is calling us, because she is the model in our faith."

"The hospital name is Nirmala hospital, which means Mary Immaculate, Immaculate Mother. Nirmala in the Indian language means Immaculate. I have been working in that hospital for the last twenty-five years. She is for us the protector of the hospital, she's a patron of our hospital...We have seen the powerful and protecting hand of our mother throughout all these years, through out all the difficulties we have faced and her miracles every day happening in the life of the people .. We have seen her protecting all the poor people, suffering people who come there and we have experienced her protection and miracles happening every day in our lives, so she's our mother, our model, our guide, our inspiration, to take care of the poor people, the sick people."

"Our Lady is an intercessor, she is the mediatrix of all graces and our advocate. And she is the shortest way, because she was the one who said yes to Our Lord, and carried Our Lord's mission. Without Our Lady we would not have Jesus… Our Lady has played a major part in the life of all Christians, in the life of all humanity, she has played the greatest part."

"Our Lady is the Queen of Heaven - what does that mean? That means that she is our mother and she loves us. And she desires with her whole heart for us to be close to Jesus, and if we turn to her in prayer she can help us. And that to me is something that's tremendously wonderful and beautiful: God has given us this gift of his own mother to intercede for us, to help us, to be our mother. The Queen of Heaven can help us and intercede for us so that one day we can meet our Creator."

"Mary has really been a help to me at times when it was really hard for me to pray. I felt completely out of touch with God and I experienced that Mary was very accessible. Especially the rosary was a help for me to stay in prayer and after some time I could pray again a little more easily and I experienced that she had brought me back to God. To me she's like a road sign pointing towards her son. If you know the way, that's ok, but if you get lost you can just use the road sign to guide you in the right direction."

"I think it's one of the blessings of our Carmelite heritage that we have Mary there. Whenever I've had difficulties in my relationship with God or when He has seemed rather far away, Mary has always been there. And I think it's one of the traditions that says 'Who ever went to Mary and came away disappointed?' All I can say is I can echo that myself throughout my life."

"I never really thought about the Blessed Virgin Mother until I hit upon my teenage years and then it was to be as a symbol of purity and so that's what she's really meant to me during these years of my life as an example of holiness and purity in a young woman. And the Memorare is also an important prayer to me and I find that if you say it very slowly and you really think about all the words you are saying, that .. it'll come through to you. Whenever I've had trouble and I've said it, it seems like the trouble goes away so that's why it's an important prayer to me. I also say the rosary a lot too."
