Recently, I had a big scare, I was told that my eyes could have been damaged by a medicine that
my doctor had started me on to treat Lupus disease. Just imagining that in the future my sight could be somewhat damaged or even lost made me realized how blessed I have been all my life to be ableto see so many beautiful things in the world.
Before I was taken in to run some tests on my eyes, I said a little prayer...
I thank God for all the blessings in my life and I placed myself in his hands, promising him that I would use my eyes only to see the beauty in the world and the goodness in humanity... yes, I was starting to forget to do this lately.
The tests came out okay.

Feeling blessed that we had such a great summer with so many amazing adventures earlier this year. 2020 has not been all bad so far and undoubtedly better days are coming. Let us rejoice and be glad :-)
A sunny morning opens up a grand landscape...Mount Nilgiri, Deoban, Mana and Kamet (from right to left)...taken from trekking route to Kuari Pass in Garhwal Himalayas, India.
Lipan Point arguably features the widest views of the Grand canyon and boasts the longest stretches of views of the Colorado River versus any other point at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. On a clear day, visitors can see the curving river as it enters the inner gorge of the canyon.
Hence Rapids (the small glowing stretch of Colorado River visible in the photograph), some of the most formidable whitewater rapids of the Colorado River. On a clear day you can see the Vermillion Cliffs to the east where the Grand Canyon begins. Look closely to see the Unkar Delta far below where ancient Puebloan People once cultivated beans, corn, and melons.
Many consider the views from Lipan Point among the most spectacular at the South Rim. The spacious panorama features many spires, buttes and temple formations that resemble ancient pyramids. Lipan Point is less crowded versus other lookout points and offers the spiritual feel of serenity and solitude with nature.
Lipan Point is located at the end of a short spur road north of Desert View Scenic Drive about 6 miles from the Desert View East Entrance to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It is located about 20 miles east of Grand Canyon Village. Lipan Point is just west of Navajo Point and the Watchtower at Desert View Overlook.
