Obecny kościół powstał w latach 1675-1698. Stanowi on kopię kościoła Santa Maria della Salute w Wenecji. Bryłę kościoła w stylu barokowym zaprojektował architekt Baltazar Longheny, który był też twórcą kościoła w Wenecji. W latach 1726-1728 Pompeo Ferrari przy współpracy Jana Adama Stiera dobudował kopułę z latarnią. Pompeo Ferrari był również twórcą pobudowanego obok Klasztoru Kongregacji św. Filipa Neri. W podziemiach znajdują się trumny zmarłych członków kongregacji oraz fundatorów kościoła.

Mount Athos as seen from the island of Lemnos.
"Mount Athos, also known as the Holy Mountain is an autonomous republic of Eastern Orthodox monks situated at the easternmost peninsula of the Chalkidiki in northeastern Greece.
In Greek, Mount Athos is called “Agio Oros” which refers to the 2033-meter mountain, The Holy Mountain is honored by Eastern Orthodox Christians as a holy land and place of pilgrimage"
Took this photo on a brisk and beautiful January 2018 day right before sundown. The canyon walls create immense, graphic shadows at late day. I was blessed to find this spot where the last rays of sun were reflecting off winter's bare trees, creating an unusual Grand Canyon composition. Sometimes high contrast can be a positive, albeit difficult to photograph.

At one time we had 7 beautiful and loving fur-babies... sadly only Bob and Lola are with us...
now their paw-prints are forever in my heart....
I had to share their angelic faces on Caturday...
I miss them all dearly...
They all crossed the Rainbow Bridge way too soon... all with some form of cancer...
So love and cherish your time with them...

As the title says, the center of a daffodil (Narcissus) growing on the grounds of Boulevard Baptist Church, Anderson, South Carolina. Pollen is clearly visible.
