The Angels are my team, but I'm a baseball fan, so I always enjoy taking in a Padre game. The Padres have actually ended up a lot better than I expected this season. With their new ownership, I think they really have the potential to improve. What I don't understand, is why San Diegans don't support them more. I understand the team is currently without a superstar, but two years ago they had Adrian Gonzalez, and lead the NL West for quite awhile before finishing 1 game out of the playoffs. Even then it was rare to see a sell out. Petco is a great stadium, and other than difficulty parking, the location is tough to beat. If you're into photography, the Padres are really photographer friendly, and the stadium has some great views. The cheapest tickets are $10 or less, and that gets you access to some great spots. Even if you're not a baseball fan, it's worth visiting for the photography and the views, and when the game is over, you're right there in the Gaslamp.
Ferrari has used the cavallino rampante ("prancing horse") on official company stationery since 1929. Since the 1920s, Italian race cars of Alfa Romeo, Maserati and Ferrari were (and often still are) painted in "race red" (Rosso Corsa).

i feel like i'm drowning in ice water,
my lips have turned a shade of blue,
i'm frozen in this fear
that you may disappear
before i've given you the truth
i bleed my heart out on this paper, for you
so you can see what i can say
i'm dying here, cause i can't say what i want to
i'll bleed my heart out just for you...
Make me feel like a battle, that cannot end in peace
Make me feel like running, as if I've lost my nerve
Make me feel like crying, tears I don't deserve

We are the roses in the garden,
beauty with thorns among our leaves.
To pick a rose you ask your hands to bleed.
i'd write something deep, and expressive but i dont have the energy.
i have another one, its a bit darker.
i cant decide between the two, but im not sure how to post it in the comments with the new flickr?!?1

A very old magnolia tree stands next to my house. Every spring I watch for the blossoms to appear. They are the first thing I see upon awakening in the morning as the tree is right next to the bedroom window. The blossoms have been slow to emerge this year. Once they finally popped, they appeared somewhat stunted. But then heavy rain fell late last week and that's all it took. The blossoms opened fully and the splendor was complete. However the moment was fleeting. The rain brought high winds and the chill of a spring cold front. Happens every year, but the timing was exceptionally bad this time. I stood beneath the tree Friday morning as the wind whipped the branches to and fro. All about me was a pinkish-magenta blur as the blossoms swayed about. The wind was simply too much for the delicate petals. They separated from the branches and rained down like cartoonishly large snowflakes. It's a weird dichotomy of thought for me. I realize the blossoms must drop in order for the tree to leaf out. But part of me wants the blossom phase to remain, or at least last a bit longer. But once they fall, that's it. They can't be pasted back into place. April has spoken and in a rather harsh tone this year. I watch as the vibrant color bleeds out of the tree. The proverbial watercolor painting left out in the rain.

Sorry for all the portraits, it's just that I haven't had too much time for photos and when I do the lighting isn't good outside. Plus, it's been really cold outside (for Californians lol) and so I've frozen my butt off every time I attempt to take photos.
And omg I'm only two weeks away from the end of this project and that makes me really sad. :(
I feel as if this year has gone by so fast and I wish time would slow down so I'd have a little more time to cherish it all.
This is in preparation for a project that I will be doing soon.
I started a series of photographs under the concept of 'nightmare' late last year for college. I enjoyed creating the photographs so much that I've decided to continue on with them this year.
As much as I love fashion and will still continue on with that as well, I've been dying to try out some new concepts for this project, so I'm pretty excited! :)

With its work complete at there southern most customer, UP local LSB54 20, and a more than enthusiastic conductor, waste no time returning back the direction they came earlier, seen here rolling north beneath the large grain bins at M&M Service Company complex in Irving, IL on an overcast mid-May morning. A paltry nine car consist is all that makes up today's train on their homeward bound trip up the Pana Sub back to Villa Grove including an empty centerbeam from Hixson Lumber in Hillsboro, two empty grain hoppers pulled from the elevators at Cadwell and six loaded company tie gons that will be soon be left behind to the north at Findlay. On-duty before most are out of bed, 0500, this job works six days a week out of Villa Grove covering industries along three different subdivisions, running as far south as Shelbyville (Salem) and/or Hillsboro (Pana) on Mon-Wed-Fri and making northbound runs as far as Grant Park (Villa Grove) on Tuesdays and Thursdays, saving Sunday for whatever is needed. Product of June 1991, 29-year old Southern Pacific veteran #1066, one of only four EMD GP60s still left wearing the Scarlett red and black colors of its former fallen flag, has then been paired at the hip with repainted ex-SP roster mate #1431 on this "Local 54" for over two months serving eastern Illinois on part of the St. Louis Service Unit. With a temporary shutdown of the railroad's Jenks Shops in North Little Rock due to COVID-19 economical decline, this unit has, in a way, received its "stay of execution" order since not many locomotives are currently being painted.
