It all starts with a blank canvas!

Created for TMI's July/August challenge: "In the Style of ... Abstract Art.

No peacocks were harmed in the creation of this image. In fact, no peacocks were even photographed for this image! It started with a fractal from the Frax app on the iPad; was embellished with iColorama; and polished off in Photoshop on the iMac.

Created entirely from a blank canvas (no photos) using Flame Painter (mainly) and Photoshop.

Created for Award Tree's "Seeing Stars" challenge.

Begun with Flowpaper on the iPad and finished with Photoshop and FilterForge on the iMac.

Thanks to "alsnd12" and "Moondustdreams" for the stars brushes (both from Deviant Art).

Your image must be a pure, non-representational abstract.

It may NOT contain any recognizable objects or beings. Note: it may be digital art from a blank canvas and/or a photo manipulation, as long as the subject of the photo is not recognizable in the final result.

Your image must convey/embody an emotion.

The title of your image must be a quotation that includes whatever emotion you have chosen. One good source for quotations is www.brainyquote.com/. Song titles are okay too.

Your image must use three distinct colors/hues (besides black and white which are optional). Note: light, medium and dark blue are NOT distinct hues; blue, green and purple are.

Don works all over Winchester painting on commission. The first time I met him, he agreed to participate in my stranger's portrait project. Since then I have often met him by chance and been lucky enough to see some of his paintings developing.

I recently met him near the cathedral beginning a painting which he says will take a further 20 days to complete.

He used to be a keen amateur photographer with his own darkroom and moved here from Lancashire where he worked as an industrial chemist, also an IT manager.
