My first sunrise trip to the broads was a bit of a learning curve (full story on my blog) but enjoyable nonetheless and has certainly whetted my appetite for more visits.

Ti siamo vicini.

Alberta Wheat Pool (near) built in 1927 with annex added in 1964; Alberta Wheat Pool No. 2 (far) was erected in 1980.
AWP merged with Manitoba Pool Elevators in 1998 into 'Agricore'. Agricore's emblem replaced "Alberta Wheat Pool".
When Agricore closed the elevator, its emblem was 'blanked'. I'm not sure when Agricore closed the elevator in Legal.
Voy por mi camino sin preocupación,
pasa la gente y me miran mal,
pero no me importa, a mí me da lo mismo,
hoy estoy alegre y tengo ganas de saltar.

Here is something I haven’t been uploading on my page by now! It is a photograph for which I’m using stroboscopic effect, which is quite interesting for shooting moving objects! I’m explaining in detail how I’m doing it and what equipment I am using for it!
I’m using my Canon 5D Mark II, with Canon 135mm f/2 lens, the main reason for using it is to compress the background as much as I can! The camera is mounted on a tripod, which is pretty low on the ground, well main reason is I guess to prevent it from being too big part of the picture and the 135mm is giving me quite good perspective to go low! As I mentioned in the strobist section, I’m using Pocket Wizard III Plus as a trigger for this shoot!
For more detailed info and explanation how I do the stroboscopic effect and what gear I'm using, check my article: CLICK!
Strobist Japan:
By the way here is a Japanese group about strobist lighting, feel free to check it and join! Might be interesting to see how people in Japan are using lights!

I can't sleep
and I'm in an editing mood.
This picture is from awhile ago. I just rediscovered it.
and I was thinking a lot tonight and I got a lot of inspiration from other photos today.
I want to start writing a lot more on here. I guess you could call it journaling. But I want to look back years from now and know what I was thinking today....about this picture, life, anything.
I remember this day perfectly (in this picture) Eric took me to this park. I wish I could remember what it was called but it was amazing. This lake was huge and it couldn't have been a nicer day. and we rode the bike there which was even better. but I just remember feeling so free. Everybody who was there was just off doing their own thing. I saw this boy sitting on this bench singing and playing his guitar, and I envyed him for a minute. It just seemed like he didnt have a care in the world for that moment and he probably didnt, and then I realized neither did I. becasue I had everything I needed right there. I had the person I love more than anything in the world and who loves me back right there with me, and I was doing what I loved, taking pictures and running in the grass barefoot. and I wish everyday could be like this day but I know they won't be, and that's why I want to write about it, so I can come back and read about it, and relive it when I need to.
This was the warehouse space that we used for a collaboration piece for the exhibition Extra Cheeese: The Retired Materials which was part of Sydney Design Week 09. I always get a kick out of being involved in exhibitions, but this one was particularly fun giving a subtle nod to the genius Mr Land.
Take a look at a photo of the hung print at the exhibition, or watch the video footage of the making of exhibition piece - I think it puts a little perspective into size of the piece!

que la hace girar rápidamente, tienes que montarla bien
el mundo está lleno de reyes y reinas
que ciegan tus ojos y roban tus sueños
es el cielo y el infierno,

and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth
it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life"
