Watch out for those teeth!

3 weeks old (3/6/2010) and alive and kicking now... messing about biting each others noses, ears, necks and tails!! lol :-) some howling and barking at each other!! just amazing to watch!! :-)

Truthfully, the mosquitoes were not as bad yesterday morning as they have been lately. Mornings tend to be better than evenings; also, it was a little cooler, not uniformly bright and sunny, and somewhat windy. No doubt such conditions affect mosquito populations and activity level. Nevertheless, I was still getting bitten, so I decided to make them pay. I have published a few mosquito images over the years. The rule is "f32 and be there" - f8 won't do; you need the extra depth of field. 105mm macro lens + 1.7x teleconverter + tripod.

The blurring of the cookie is due to Toni shaking her head vigorously while biting down on the cookie. Most amusing. :)

It's called "cribbing" and she needs to stop!
