Monstructor Monday (Day 5 of 8)

This Transformers figure is Bristleback, from the Generation 1 line, released in 1989. It is complete and in excellent condition. From Transformers Wiki: "Bristleback's inner robot is a four-legged beast, possibly with wings. He folds up to become one of Monstructor's arms. His simple transformation to beast mode is similar to that of Birdbrain. He comes with his shell, shell plate, a gun, and a fist for Monstructor. "

It occurs to me that doing a weekly series is a good way to show off how many days a week I miss my Project 365 updates. If last week's update was #106, then this week's should be #113, but it is in fact #112. Sorry that I missed a day, but it happens almost every week (my 365 will end up being more like 400...).

Q: What kind of people do Republicans think make great leaders?

A: Anyone who looks like the person they had a crush on in high school (yes, even if they didn't go--ESPECIALLY if they didn't go--to high school).

A visual ode to and drawn during this three-minute gem from the blur of the mid-90s. They are....they are a drunken bird...flying...into the windows...

April 16, 2011 -- Birdbrains. Taken at the Seattle Flickr Meetup Union Bay Natural Area photostroll.

After seeing a really wonderful short film showing a murmuration of starlings, I've been a total birdbrain. We took a trip to the Somerset levels this afternoon, met with a large group of twitchers and some RSPB staff who were all waiting in the marshes until dusk. Will post my shots soon... I witnessed a real spectacle of nature tonight.

because "birdbrain" was too dumb + obvious a title.

Finished hand embroidery on denim. This is going to be a very late Christmas present. Need to sew the pouch! Free embroidery pattern by Birdbrain designs.

Daily Mail - April 13th 2012 - Firefighters wouldn't go into a lake to rescue a bird because of Health and Safety.

Not sure exactly what these 4 were waiting for -- but I found them all lined up outside my window underneath my (full) birdfeeder. They were too funny - so of course, I had to get a picture!

It's the year 2099 and the Earth's atmosphere has deteriorated to the point where the birds have to wear space helmets. The sparrow is thinking "Will my helmet even fit in that door?" I hope I never live to see that day. CLICK on the above image for the LARGE size.

Starting to see things. The birdbrain has completely taken over.

I like this view of the cardinal better. It looks like he is flying straight into the house. But I like the early morning lighting in the other one.

dude REALLY went for the camera. hated to be photographed. i've never seen such self-conscious waterfowl.
