I hadn't dared to show this previously and it's been languishing in my private folder since I joined Flickr in 2009. If you're seeing it now you probably found it by chance!
It was taken from inside the terminal at Las Palmas through 2 sheets of glass and outside double glazed windows. The only reason I kept it was because I had no idea when I took it that Binter Canarias were operating DC-9-30's, they'd only had it for a couple of weeks. It was leased from Iberia with a couple of others for around 5 years. I never got a chance to take another one!
The aircraft was delivered to Iberia as EC-BQZ in Mar-70. It was leased to Binter Canarias in May-95 and returned to Iberia in Apr-00.
On it's return it was stored at Madrid-MAD, Spain. In late 2009 it was donated to AENA, the Spanish Airports Authority and displayed in a jazzy livery between terminals 1 and 2.
