"US Bike Route 1" may conjure up visions of Big Sur, blue sea, and tall trees, but in Long Beach it takes you along a six-lane, high-speed semi-industrial section of Pacific Coast Highway, and routes you up this hump to a couple of sweeping entrances and exits to the 710 freeway. You must cross high-speed traffic streams twice to get to the other end of the bridge.

The signs are up so high, it makes you think they didn't want anyone to find the route….
