This Big Wheel has been temporarily erected in my hometown. The sun was just setting and the sky was stormy, which made for a dramatic backdrop and made the illuminated cars stand out against the dark sky
The “Wheel of Vision” is an impressive structure placed on the Burgplatz next to both the Rhine promenade and the old town (Altstadt). Its forty two capsules offer spectacular views across the river, the town and during the dark evening hours, the Christmas markets and decorations. Opened October 2018

This old barn is all sorts of racked - I don't think a single side is square, but the 45 of the roof is stiill pretty good. I nearly walked right past this when I saw the old 'bigwheel' toy bike sitting there, almost in the middle of the barn door bay.
Images like this one, even simple compositions, speak across the generations when you see something like that old big wheel. That was once so loved by someone. Now it almost makes you sad to think about it. It's almost like it's sitting there like a puppy, awaiting its child to come back for it.
ENG: So beautifully empty, nice and frosty here at -8 °C in Berlin's Mitte district. On Thursday I was with the subway line U5 on the way to look at the new stations again and to capture the Christmas impressions. So you can also enjoy the wonderful view.
Once again quickly over the Christmas market at the Red Town Hall near Alexanderplatz in Berlin's Mitte district, before the whole haunting is over. This Christmas market offers many charming little stands with all kinds of delicacies, as well as one or the other ride for young and old. But he also offers an ice skating rink and the pictured Ferris wheel.
GER: So schön leer und frostig hier bei -8 °C in Berlin Mitte. Nur ich, meine Kamera und die Ruhe. Am Donnerstag war ich mit der U-Bahn Linie U5 unterwegs, um mir die neuen Bahnhöfe nochmals anzuschauen und die Weihnachtlichen Impressionen einzufangen. So könnt auch Ihr den wunderbaren Ausblick genießen.
Noch einmal schnell über den Weihnachtsmarkt am Rotes Rathaus nahe dem Alexanderplatz im Berliner Bezirk Mitte, bevor der ganze Spuk wieder vorbei ist. Dieser Weihnachtsmarkt bietet viele bezaubernde kleine Buden mit allerlei Köstlichkeiten, sowie das ein oder andere Fahrgeschäft für groß und klein. Er bietet aber auch eine Eislaufbahn sowie das abgebildete Riesenrad.
