Took Sammy for a walk yesterday. We brought along the iPhone and decided to experiment with the Hipstamatic App. Such a plethora of choices in lenses, films & flashes ... and I couldn't see a darn thing in the bright sun ... so I just 'shook the camera' for a random selection of options for each shot. Had no idea if anything was worth keeping until I got home.

A lot of them were crap ... but I kinda liked the retro feel to this one and the ones in comments. Imperial Beach is so different from what I remember. The biggest changes are the renewal of Seacoast Drive. The theme is surfing, naturally! There are surfing themed statues and sculptures, surfboard benches {very cool} and a giant acrylic statue at the base of the pier. It is called Surfhenge! My first impression when I saw it was the 'golden arches!'

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!! Happy Surfing Wednesday!

Taking a little break from Savannah. While I do love a nice architectural line, these are the lines that truly stir my heart and bring me a sense of peace. She's on her way to dance class, but no matter where she's going, she goes in style.

One more Hipstamatic shot with help of mannequin.

A little Florida as you might imagine it.

Nothing wrong with a little beach meditation.

Tucson, Arizona. Hipstamatic Bettie XL & Ina's 1935.

Street theatre viewed from the balcony outside the National Gallery, London. I like the way Hipstamatic's Bettie XL lens adds a look of a red velvet curtain, as though on a real stage.

Architectural detail at the Historic Everett Theatre. :^)

Had a great time today meeting Cara and Andy, while they are up here visiting family for the holidays. Holly and I drove about an hour and some change to just outside of Princeton for this Flickr Meet. We had a great time, and of course I knew we would!!

I did not bring my digital SLR, only my Canon Av-1, my Instax, and my iphone. This is Iphone, taken using Hipstamatic. Cara of course brought Hassy, and her F100. Her and Holly both had their digitals as well. Many pictures to come I'm sure!! When I get my film, I'll be sure to share. Phoenix had a great time with the ladies and Andy as well, she was very doted on!!

Cara, you are gorgeous, inside and out, and I'm so happy that I had this chance to meet you!! And the hat, well, you surely rocked it!! xoxo

Shot with native iPhone 6+ camera and processed in a beta version of #Hipstamatic 300 using Bettie and Love81. Flying back to Chicago from visiting my family in S. Jersey :(
