Former Alpha Beta Grocery Store. After the failed Lucky Alpha Beta merger the Alpha Beta chain was split up with a majority of the stores being taken over Boys Market Coporate parent. The Alpha-Beta name was retained. When Boys Corporate parent took over Ralphs, this store converted to a Ralphs around 1992 or 5. It operated until 2006, and has been vacant ever since. A sign in the window indicates a liquor liscense for a Fresh and Easy Market. This former Ralphs is located on Sepulveda and Van Owen in Van Nuys, California. Empty Shelves fill the store, lacking any food. One of xx photos.
There are far worse sites out there than Flickr - and i am not saying Flickr should not take their product forwards, that's great - but this argument is really about ease of use - Flickr have shown before that they are prepared to listen, so we all need to speak up - I don't want to leave Flickr, but it has become so slow and cumbersome that I just don't have the time. The old system was quick and easy to use, and that's what this is about. When changes make things even slower, members drift away, and that is what worries me.
A few nights ago I pointed the DWARF Mini toward Beta Camelopardalis (HD 31910) in Camelopardalis. The conditions were decent, although transparency was a little less favorable than the previous evening. I managed to collect 261 of 274 frames, giving me 1 hour, 5 minutes, 15 seconds of usable integration.

Created by the GPC to battle the Quantum Beasts, Bullshark armor is made to cut through even Quantum Crystals, allowing it to take down even Crystal Dragons. However, the armor has also been deployed to eliminate Sky Pirates threatening those who dare to sail over the Void.
This is sort of a news post as well, I guss :D . I recently became a Dark Times team member, plus am starting up my own RPG, which this build will (hopefully) appear in concept builds for! Stay tuned for the release!
Piece out.

Scavrat Captured Beta.
When I built the Archon Beta, I knew I wanted to build more than one. This was a great opportunity to return to one of my favourite #darklegacies factions, the Scavrats. I added a bit of steampunk flavour to this build, with the bolt launcher and exhaust, which is truer to the original source material. It also has a Sisterhood Lantern of Revelation up front to ensure no invisible demons can sneak up on the pilot when working the carrion fields.
This build is complete but also a WIP, as I have a bunch of old dark gray parts coming in from BrickLink and I may replace the left arm cannon with an arm/multi-tool. I also need to get to work on my new custom base so I can do some proper photos.
I decided to return to Scheat (Beta Pegasi) tonight. I had observed it the previous evening, and I thought it would be worthwhile to give it another look while the conditions were still fairly good. From Ottawa, I was working under Bortle 7 skies, with 3/5 seeing and 4/7 transparency. Not perfect, but certainly good enough to keep the DWARF Mini busy.
I used the DWARF Mini with the Astro Filter, shooting 15-second exposures at a gain of 60. I planned for 238 frames and collected 225, exactly the same number as my previous observation. That gave me another 56 minutes and 15 seconds of integration time.
Scheat is an interesting star to come back to because it is a semi-regular variable. Nothing dramatic happens from one evening to the next, of course, but that's actually what makes repeated observations worthwhile. I'm beginning to think of these sessions less as attempts to get a great image and more as little snapshots of the sky at a particular moment.

2/10I was trying to minimise the garage finds in my top 10, but this was so unusual I had to include it. Particularly pleasing for it to be the facelift model. The missing headlight glass is the only significant thing I can see wrong with it externally, but maybe there's a rust problem underneath or some mechanical issue?
Good day with mr Beta. I got given cash and 2 tubs of free emulsion for this. I rolled up thinking i was doing it for free and for me. Could of possibly been one of my best days of painting so far.
