Viviana is #14 in my Hundred Strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.100Strangers.com

I had the privilege of meeting Viviana at a party this weekend. She was hard to miss in her belly dancing outfit. Many people were dressed in costume in celebration of an extreme kayaking event called Reef Madness but none looked quite as good as Viviana. However the most notable thing about her is the fact that she's an accomplished flutist who has performed all over the world, including Carnegie Hall. She was born in Chile and she's been playing the flute since she was 15. She studied with Jean-Pierre Rampal and performs in over 80 concerts a year. Her music has taken her to over 50 different countries. Of course she's not just beautiful, belly dances, and plays the violin---she writes poetry and takes photographs too! She made me feel like chopped liver!

See it on black.

K, I don't want to be one of those sappy Flickr girls who goes on and on about their boyfriends... but seriously, mine is so fucking handsome. Not to mention all the other amazing stuff about him. I'll keep those things to myself though.

Anyways, if you're interested (which you should be) check out his Flickr.

He is very talented and he even puts up photos of me sometimes.

The title comes from one of my favourite songs of all time.

This must have been the very moment when the official photographer told them to smile — and the flower girl threw herself into one of the most full-out, knock-down smiles I have ever seen!

It was wonderful to see Cheyenne, the groom's younger sister who is standing to the left, managing a smile — she, like her brother, seemed to really miss their late father particularly on this day.

I am disturbed at the news that the flower girl, who is the bride's niece, may have been diagnosed with juvenile chronic arthritis — a painful disease that, in serious cases, can cripple a child.

Surrounded by locals and tourists alike, "Jimmy" as we knew him sits on the public steps in the old mining town of Jerome, Arizona. Having come from a life bound by career advancements and money, he now sings his soulful songs to the public for nothing but a smile and a friendly chat. When you first meet him, he strategically sizes you up through a series of seemingly jovial questions - but be aware, this is no ordinary street musician. If you pass his tests of humility, sincerity, and awareness, he'll invite you to sit close and share your stories of adventure, love, and loss. (written by Allan Sturm)

We all have those friends that make a mark on you. She's one of them #bear #bestsmileever
